  Always our Birthday vacation spot.

  Great place to stay. Very clean and comfortable. We stayed there for 5 days and 6 nights. It was my birthday vacation. The Tiki Bar is very convenient and located in the pool area. The hotel is located downtown 5th Avenue near shops restaurants, and grocery stores. They provide free parking, rental bicycles, and complimentary breakfast. It's located close to I-Hop, Olive Garden Pinchers, all with in walking distance. We go there every May and October. Always a great pleasure.We love it.   We had a very positive experience at this Holiday Inn Express. It was clean, good breakfast, and friendly staff. The pool area was a pleasant surprise. It had a “tiki bar” , spacious seating area, pool and hot tub. Overall, great experience for the money.   Very nice hotel, several rungs above the normal HIE

  Stayed one night. Nice hotel. Clean, good-looking rooms, and pretty standard breakfast buffet. Has an outstanding pool area with Tiki bar. Pretty close to the downtown area and waterfront. Definitely not your regular Holiday Inn Express (it appears to have had a former life as an upscale hotel property that HIE acquired).   Go to the Hilton down the road!

  Dirty carpets, outdated. We usually pick IHG hotels because they are typically modern, new or renovated. We left after one night and booked down the Street at Hilton. 10,000x better. I was grossed out and had them switch my room, the second was just as bad.   Bad experience

  Ive stayed at this hotel maybe 30-40 nights this year. Most all great, friendly staff , great rooms and location. On my second to last stay we stayed outside 4 hours while police with automatic rifles sorounded the hotel. Hostage situation. Not a word from management. A day later and individual banged on the door, demanding to come in, his stuff is inside. Eventually he busted in , police intervened and he was taken away... Nothing from management. I'm an IHG diamond member, let's say not because of the experience itself but because no response from management on this issue. I'll be switching back to Marriott.
