This was not a maintenance issue, pool has severe algae. This pool has not been serviced in a while. Severe algae like that doesn't appear after a few days or a week. Note: see photo attached House CleaningFront Desk said room would be cleaned every other day during our stay. We checked in Wednesday, September 17th and checked out Sunday morning, Sept 21st. Room was never serviced during our four days there. RoachesWife woke me up early Saturday morning. Went into bathroom and there crawling up the wall was a roach, not a bug but a roach. In the corner behind the door was another dead roach. My first 1 star review ever - will never stay here again

We stay in Hiltons, including Homewoods, all the time and while things happen and every stay is not 5 stars, we usually have a positive experience. Hilton should be ashamed of this hotel. Reserved 1 night. Arrived at 7:15 pm and room was not ready more than 3 hours after check-in time. 2 other people in the lobby also waiting for their rooms. Clerk #1 pretty nice but could not give us what she didn't have. Got a room assignment about 20 minutes later. Room was FILTHY. There were crumbs on the floor and the bathroom was dingy. We noticed peeling veneer in the elevator. Because of all the red flags, I checked the mattress. That mattress was disgusting with assorted stains of various colors many of which appeared to be bodily fluids. There were also a lot of tiny orange-red stains that I could not identify. The fitted sheet was ripped at the corner as well, and the mattress pad was also dirty. We should have left then but we were tired and had an early flight. Knowing I would not sleep in this room, we packed up and went down to the front and informed the clerk, who told us it might be a while before another room was ready. We waited on a stained and shabby couch in the lobby for an hour. Then I asked clerk #2 about the progress and was informed they were sold out. When I explained that we were waiting and the reason she was unaware, asked me why I was looking at the mattress anyway, and said we would have to talk to clerk #1, who had gone outside to smoke. When clerk #1 returned she said she did not know they were sold out. We asked if we could just cancel without penalty and leave, which we did. Both clerks did at least apologize. We drove a mile to the Doubletree and had a lovely night in a clean comfortable room. Will not be returning here. By the time we got back from the main part of our trip, the Hilton link to a review had expired, which is a shame, because they need to know about this place. Very dirty, outdated hotel. Stay elsewhere

Staying here currently. Room is filthy. Doesn’t seem like they cleaned. Visible grime on fridge and in kitchen. Floor turned our feet black. Do not recommend. Disappointing

We checked in on the app and got a digital key. Check in time is 4:00. We arrived around 5:00. The digital key never worked. When we got in the room there were crumbs on the couch. There were spent coffee grounds in the coffee maker. There was no coffee creamer. There was no hot water. We've stayed here many times, but the last two stays were disappointing. I don't think we'll be back. Upon arrival, we noticed there were ants crawling around in our first floor suite’s kitchen area and there was not an ironing board in the room. I tried calling the front desk using the phone in the suite. However, the phone did not work (no dial tone even though the phone was plugging into the wall jack properly), so I used my personal cell phone to call the front desk. I reported the ants, phone not working, and requested an ironing board. The front desk person said they would inform the manager to take care of it. We then left for the evening. When we arrived back at the hotel later that night, nothing had been done. Ants were still crawling around, no ironing board, and the phone still didn’t work. The next day, we found dozens or well over a hundred ants in the room that seemed to be coming from under the couch. When we moved the couch, there were food particles from previous guests that had not been cleaned by hotel staff prior to us checking in. At that time, we were about to be picked up by a Lyft driver, so I left the room and informed the cleaning staff, who were working in the hallway, about the ants in our room and also went to the front desk to complain. The front desk employee offered a different room on another floor and gave us the keys. I explained that we were leaving for the night within minutes and said we would either move when we returned or the next morning. As it turned out, we were very tired late that night when we returned from Nashville so we decided to stay in the room until the next morning. The next morning, the assistant GM opened our door and entered. He asked us to move to the other room which we did. I also noticed that the window in the bedroom did not lock properly which was a safely concern. The new room on the second floor was much nicer and we didn’t have any problem with it. Upon checkout, the assistant GM said that since we were offered a new room no other form of compensation would be given.
