This cannot be a Best Western. Deceiving name.

    rating15 Mar 2026

We enter into dark room. No lights in entrance at all. I don't know-how any guest can use the mirror with no light. The safety latch was duct tapped for some reason. I had to remove the duct tape to make it usable. There was no luggage rack. I received luggage rack after 3rd request and after 24 hours.Alarm clock showed 09.35 pm. Microwave shows 11.35 pm. and the real time was 10.35 pm. No one cares about setting the time correctly. The mattress has springs. So, when we chang sides, the spring makes ding-dong noise. Noisy springs.Only two table lamps and with only one bulb in each. There is no USB port at all.In the bathroom-the towel rack is broken. The sink has no stopper. I lost my medicine pills and toothpaste lid in that hole.I can write an assay.. nothing was upto par for any Best Western. The front desk at check-in was the hero. Very funny and seemingly cheerful person. He just keeps repeating with humor-if anything is wrong-contact Rajan Patel... (means he is not responsible). He tried but could not find luggage rack for me.The morning front desk for both days was different. No interaction with any guest who enter the breakfast area. No greetings- nothing... Not even eye contact. he also was not able to provide luggage rack to me.The second shift lady-MS Debra is the one who seems very responsive to guest's issues. I recommend her for her integrity. She was the one who brought luggage rack to help us.However, the staff parks their vehicle in ADA handicaps parking slot. Not good. Great Place to stay overnight

    rating07 Feb 2026

Great place to stay overnight. No elevator, though. My guy is disabled, and we had to be on the second floor. That would be my only complaint. The staff was amazing and friendly. Sophia Stewart, Owner at Best Western Bayou Inn, responded to this review Dear Guest,Thank you for your review! We're glad to hear that you had a positive experience and that our staff made your stay enjoyable. We apologize for the inconvenience of the stairs and will certainly take your feedback into consideration for future improvements. We hope to welcome you back soon!

    Moldy mildew smell

    rating21 Apr 2025

The mildewed moldy smell in my room was unbearable and impacted my ability to breathe. Their response was to turn my Air Conditioner up to the maximum and spray air freshener. Or to move me to the second floor which required stairs because there is no elevator in the hotel. Sophia Stewart, Owner at Best Western Bayou Inn, responded to this review Dear Guest,We sincerely apologise for the unpleasant experience you had with the mouldy smell in your room. We understand how difficult that must have been, and it's certainly not the kind of environment we aim to provide. The response you received was certainly inadequate, and your feedback will be shared with management to ensure better solutions in the future. We appreciate you bringing this to our attention and will work to address these concerns moving forward.

    Old, tired hotel

    rating13 Apr 2025

We stayed here four nights while on a bus trip to New Orleans. Check-in was quick and efficient. The rooms were average size. The bathroom was small, but we did like that we had a walk-in shower. The sink area was outside of the bathroom which was nice for people getting ready in the morning. The room appeared clean but the carpet needs to be replaced. There were various things in the rooms that didn't work. The wall outlets didn't work. The small refrigerator froze all of our drinks, even after we turned down the temperature. The remote control for the TV would not work. Each evening we had to find the controls behind the TV in order to tune into the HDMI mode and then to change the channels. The breakfast area had the same food each day. The attendant seemed stingy about putting out the food. He would only replace the bread with a couple of slices at a time. They seemed to be always out of napkins while we were there. The hotel itself is not in a nice part of town. It sits beside an abandoned gas station. The housing development behind it seems to be abandoned except for a few apartments. I would not leave the parking lot for a walk in this part of town. The evening receptionist was Debbie. She was a gem! Each night she would ask how our day was and what we saw. Then she would ask what we were planning to do the next day and tell us about what we were going to see. Sophia Stewart, Owner at Best Western Bayou Inn, responded to this review Dear Guest,We are glad to hear that check-in was smooth and that you appreciated the walk-in shower and Debbie’s warm and welcoming service. She’ll be thrilled to hear your kind words! We’re truly sorry about the inconveniences you experienced with the room amenities, breakfast service, and the surrounding area. Your feedback is incredibly valuable and will be shared with management to help address the maintenance and hospitality concerns. We hope that with improvements, your next experience can be much more comfortable.

Choose another hotel. This one is not really nice, especially for the price.

    rating12 Apr 2025

We were on a bus tour, so we couldn’t change hotels. Some of the rooms were okay, but many had problems with showers, beds, and room issues. Our room was extremely damp and had a musty smell. Checking the beds revealed large stains on the mattress. The third night of our stay the AC ran all over the floor. There was standing water on the floor when we woke up. The breakfast is very low quality. The staff was attentive to it, but they only put a few items out when they knew we had 50 people that were eating. They changed sheets in the first night, but not any other day. They didn’t replenish shampoo unless we asked. Towels were replenished if we left the old ones on the floor in front of the door. The young people running it were nice. It seems like a family run hotel since they were the same people the whole time we stayed there. I don’t want to take away from someone trying to run their business, but I feel like major improvements could help make this a better place to stay! Sophia Stewart, Owner at Best Western Bayou Inn, responded to this review Dear Guest,We are truly sorry to hear about the issues you encountered during your stay, especially the damp room, maintenance problems, and breakfast concerns. It’s clear that your expectations were not met, and we understand how frustrating that must have been, especially while travelling with a large group. Your feedback is valuable and will be shared with the team so we can make the necessary improvements. We genuinely appreciate your recognition of the staff’s friendliness and dedication, and we hope the property can make the upgrades needed to provide a better experience for future guests.
