Pros: Large room with kitchenette. Beds were comfortable.Cons: You could actually feel the dirt on the carpet. My socks were black within minutes. One of the burners on the two-burner stove didn't work. Utensil drawer was dirty with crumbs and had 3 knives and a can opener that didn't work-- and, inexplicably, a roasting fork? No other utensils. I went to the front desk to ask for two spoons and two forks and was given cheap plastic utensils. A kitchen towel and wash cloth would have been helpful. Or even paper towels. Do not recommend.

Corporate needs to clean house on staff

Price isn’t terrible, location is quiet, room was passably clean. Bathroom tub and kitchen appliances need to be replaced. The lady at the front desk at night is extremely rude. Went to check in, she was sitting down in front of a computer watching a show and playing on her phone. I stood where she could see me and she ignored me completely for close to 5 minutes. She continued to look at the computer screen and said “last name” without looking at me at all. I asked if she was talking to me, and she said yes with a chip on her shoulder. She shoved papers at me, and threw my card key at me as well. I hope the hotel owner is reading these comments and can do something about this lady. I stayed through my trip, but I will never be back to this hotel.

Older hotel, but large, clean room in the Algiers area of New Orleans. Safe and secure. Plenty of free parking. Room came with 2 burner cooktop, microwave and fridge

CAUTION!

CAUTION! Think twice before booking this hotel! My traveling clients were booked here last night before boarding a cruise ship. They ultimately left and stayed somewhere else. They said it wasn’t as clean as they had hoped and they didn’t feel safe. When they brought their concerns to the staff at the front desk, they were LAUGHED AT! Never again. I will never book this for myself or any of my traveling clients again

Those greeting guests at the front desk are unprofessional and it is evident that they don’t care about the guests or the facility itself. Had we not been traveling with others we would have been gone after being offered our first room. It was so musty I couldn’t even get in the door. It literally knocked me back! You could probably hear the mold spores growing if you took the time. Refused that room and given another which was better, but not by much. This property, once a Navy barracks, should be CONDEMNED! The City of New Orleans should shut this property down. After a little more than staying there about 36 hours, my wife left very sick with respiratory problems and wound up in the hospital for six days at our next destination. I do not recommend staying here.
