Location

This hotel is housed within a converted warehouse located in the heart of New Orleans. The French Quarter is just 8 blocks away and it is a short distance to the Riverwalk as well as to a wide selection of attractions as well as restaurants.

Facility

287 non-smoking rooms are available to guests in a 7-storey main building and a 5-storey auxiliary building. English-speaking staff at the reception desk in the lobby are ready to assist you with check-in and check-out. A cloakroom, baggage storage service, safe, cash machine and drinks machine are available. Wireless internet access in public areas allows guests to stay connected. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. The hotel has wheelchair-accessible facilities and a lift. A number of shops, including a supermarket, are great for shopping or just browsing. Additional amenities include a TV room and a playroom. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the car park for a fee. Other services include medical assistance, a transfer service, room service, a laundry service and a hotel shuttle bus. Complimentary newspapers are available. A business centre with fax machine and projector is available.

Rooms

Air conditioning and individually adjustable heating ensure that rooms maintain comfortable temperatures. All rooms are carpeted and include a king-size bed and a sofa bed. Extra beds can be requested. A safe and a desk are also available. Additional features include a mini fridge and a tea/coffee station. An ironing set is provided for guests' convenience. A direct dial telephone, a television with satellite/cable channels, a radio, a DVD player and WiFi (no extra charge) are provided as well. A hairdryer and a telephone are available in the bathrooms, which are equipped with a shower and a bathtub. For extra comfort in the bathrooms, guests are offered cosmetic products. Wheelchair-friendly rooms can be booked. Family rooms are available for parents with children.

Sport

Guests can enjoy a refreshing swim in the outdoor pool area. Refreshing drinks at the pool bar and a relaxing soak in the hot tub offer the perfect way to unwind. Sun loungers and parasols on the terrace invite guests to relax and unwind. There are many ways to relax or stay active at the hotel, including tennis, a gym, billiards, aerobics, a spa and a sauna. Parents can unwind while the kids can participate in an entertainment programme full of fun activities.

Meals

The dining area includes a restaurant and a bar. A delicious breakfast provides energy for the rest of the day. Staff are also happy to provide children's meals.

    Here for NKF conference. Extremely convenient. Breakfast was excellent. Reggie really helped me at check in after a travel delay. Our room was clean, updated and perfect for our trip. A walk to get to touristy areas but that's a good thing. And restaurants close to this location.     Perfect for a family

    We settled on this HI after reading reviews on trip advisor. It was perfect for us as a family. Getting to the hotel was easy with less traffic and bigger streets than the French Quarter. Pulling up for valet was simple with plenty of spots to park. The valet charge was $44/day I think. It has in and out privileges but we never drove. We walked everywhere - to the Riverfront, French Quarter and along the arts district. You can get most anywhere within 30 minutes walk/1.3-1.5 miles. I highly recommend dinner at Sofia or Meril nearby if you’re tired of Cajun food. Our room was very spacious and had one king and a sofa bed. Breakfast is included and has a lot of options - hot bar, waffles, grits, yogurt, cereal. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The best thing was how quiet it was! I rarely heard other people coming and going when we were in our rooms.     Buisness hotel next door to Convention center

    The location is prime for the Convention Center which is right across the street. The room was large and quiet and clean if a bit outdated. Breakfast was fine although a few vegtables and some more fruit would have been an upgrade. The only drawback was when I asked for a slightly late check out as I had a late flight. The person at reception said it is not possible to go past 12 and suggested to charger extra for even 30 minutes despite me being an honors members. I found it irrational but what do I know......     There was nothing not to like about this hotel. I spent a good amount of time searching for hotels which had reasonably priced suite that had two rooms. I reserved a two-queen (bedroom) with sofabed (living room / kitchen) separated by French doors. The interior was well decorated and the windows in the bedroom were actually two stories high! We cooked some instant noodles on the stove using their pot and bowls.Given the vicinity to the convention center, I believe the breakfast area was larger than usual. Your usual Hampton Inn fare if not more - waffles, bread, muffins, sausage patties, egg w cheese, fruit, yogurt, oatmeal, coffee, juice.Late checkout was accommodated by front desk though the cleaning staff seemed a bit surprised when I let them know about it.It was relatively easy to find free street parking a couple blocks west. The area felt safe enough. Like other reviews mentioned, front desk is not especially responsive to phone calls from the room.
