Wonderful hotel - with in walking distance to so many shops and restaurants- very safe area. Drelly at the front desk was absolutely fantastic and so friendly and helpful at check in and check out. Spent one night after a hard day on the road. Arrived at 6am CT to a clean and comfortable room. Hotel was quiet and we were able to sleep until Noon as they granted us a late check-out. A comfortable stay with wonderful staff!

I usually stay in Metairie when I visit New Orleans, but it’s getting quite expensive up there … as a loyal Hilton guest, I thought I’d try Elmwood instead, and it wasn’t a bad second choice!Absolutely delightful check-in with a young girl with braces (Kara, maybe?). She was incredibly friendly and welcoming, and even though I arrived a little before check-in time, she was able to get me a room straight away. I stayed for 3 nights and all the staff with whom I interacted, including housekeeping, were super lovely!Definitely on the older side of your typical Hilton brand, my room was still clean and very spacious. I was especially impressed with the size of the bathroom!Super comfy bed with what appeared to be relatively new linens and towels, and I slept very well … except for the fact that the walls are oddly thin at this hotel, and I could hear the person in the next room showering at 4:30AM, which definitely woke me. The room also had one of the oldest microwaves I’ve ever seen and it took forever to heat up a meal!Although they don’t have their own gym, guests have free access to apparently one of the best gyms in Louisiana, within walking distance. Because I’m already a member of another gym and I go there when I visit New Orleans, I didn’t try out the one available to guests, but this is a great perk!One thing to note is that this hotel is huge! They do have relatively good signage within the building, though I also got lost trying to find the lobby a few times, lol. The nice young woman who checked me in also said it’s a very safe area and there’s lots to do around here. That being said, I was on a business trip and didn’t leave the hotel that much, though definitely noticed numerous restaurants and shopping opportunities very close by. The Hampton Inn and Suites New Orleans is such a nice hotel with very friendly and helpful staff! Everyone was so kind and it made my stay that much easier for a guy with travel anxiety. Breakfast served daily, beds were comfortable, and the room was great for what I needed. Whenever an issue did arise on my first day, it was fixed quickly by the time I returned for the day! I can’t say enough great things about the staff, and it was a very affordable place to stay. I would definitely recommend staying here if you’re planning on visiting New Orleans! Great hotel. Always clean. Very convenient and close to all of the attractions in New Orleans. I stay there often and just about every time I go, Kara is there to check me in. She is awesome! Always very friendly, professional, and helpful! I travel often for work and stay at alot of hotels across the country. I wish that there were more hotel employees like Kara!
