    Management Refused to Honor What Their Staff Promised

    Extremely disappointing experience with Homewood Suites in Gretna, Louisiana. My work travel plans changed abruptly, and while I understood there was a restrictive cancellation policy, I was told by an employee that they would make a one-time exception, refund me, and not charge me.After that, the general manager was incredibly difficult to reach and refused to speak with me directly. When I finally received his response, it was essentially that the employee “should have known better” and that they would not be honoring what I had been told.That is unacceptable. If a staff member represents that an exception will be made, the hotel should either honor it or at least have management speak directly with the guest and take accountability. Instead, I was brushed off and left with a charge I had been told would not happen.Our office has about 20 people who travel to the area regularly for work, and based on this experience, we will not be staying at this property going forward. Terrible customer service, poor communication, and no accountability from management.

    My husband and I had an amazing time at Homewood Suites Westbank in Gretna. Ms Churell greeted us with a smile while checking us in. Ms. Nell prepared an amazing hot breakfast for everyone who decided to eat before the big game! Ms. Nyesha had a big wonderful smile while checking me out on Sunday morning. My husband and I will definitely stay again at this hotel. Ladies you all were amazing and keep up the great work!

    What a great stay! Homewood Suites Gretna is a beautifully kept property with seamless access to the West Bank Expressway and nearby shopping and dining. The location made getting around incredibly easy.I was genuinely impressed by the level of service during my stay—friendly, attentive, and professional staff throughout.This will definitely be my go-to hotel for future visits to the New Orleans area. Highly recommended!

    I had a wonderful stay at Homewood Suites in Gretna. The staff was welcoming, and the suite was clean, spacious, and equipped with a full kitchen and comfortable bed—perfect for both short and long stays. The complimentary breakfast was great, and the location is convenient, just a short drive from downtown New Orleans. Quiet, relaxing, and overall an excellent experience. I’ll definitely stay here again!

    Worst Homewood Property I had been to !!!

    I am a Hilton diamond member and have stayed in many Homewood properties but this one is the worst out of generally good lot of hotels. I am writing this review after spending 2 months there in 3 different trips and providing ample warning to their staff. As You Check in the room - First thing you'd notice is that items in Kitchen and Bathroom are missing or not fully serviced. Every time I have to ask for putting back my missing toaster or missing pots or spoons or dish detergent or Soap/Shampoo etc. It completely defeats the purpose of staying in and paying for a full kitchen suite.Room Cleaning Service - Provided every second day but again Kitchen and Bathroom consumable things like dish washer soap or bathroom soap is missing many times.Breakfast - Pretty basic and unlike a regular homewood suite property. Coffee is almost always cold when you reach for breakfast at opening. With the amount of working people staying at this property, they could do it better by starting the breakfast early but they don't.Once work people are gone, this hotel will be struggling for business, if they keep providing this kind of sloppy service time after time.
