This hotel is located just over 1.5 km from the Six Flags Theme Park and around 12 km from the historical French Quarter of New Orleans.

    Upon arrival, there was a lady in the lobby yelling and cussing at the gentleman behind the desk. Being very disrespectful and derogatory. Threatened to”blow this place up”. We went outside to escape this distraction and talked about calling the police. She finally left and the gentleman behind the desk said she is known to them. After getting to our rooms they were below average. There was a bug on a bed. The curtains had a wet, red substance on them and the lights didn’t work. We complained and were offered new rooms. However, the rooms offered had water standing on the floor and no lights that worked. It was then we decided to check out. We were told we would have to call Choice Hotels to get a refund. Choice wouldn’t give our money back but did file a complaint. I have emailed the manager to the property and awaiting a response.     Affordable, Safe and Clean

    Quality Inn New Orleans I-10 East is affordable, clean, and safe. This is exactly what I needed when driving and looking for a place to sleep in New Orleans. The check-in staff was very nice and welcoming. I had an issue with my first room, where the air conditioning didn’t work properly, but the front desk accommodated my needs and gave me a room next to it. The rooms are clean and have a microwave and fridge, which made it convenient for snacks and drinks. There's also complimentary Wi-Fi and a TV for entertainment. The parking is gated, and the area feels secure. I appreciated the peace of mind knowing my car was safe overnight. There is a pool that seemed nice, but I didn’t have a chance to use it. I would definitely stay here again, especially for the value and service provided.     They broke their promise and let us down .

    We were sent here by Delta Airlines because , due to equipment failure , their flight was cancelled . We needed to return to the airport by 7:00 AM the next day . We were assured the Quality Inn 5:00AM shuttle would get us there on time . When we checked in we were assured by the front desk there would be no problem . They wrote our name on the list . We got up in time to be in the lobby by 4:50 AM . The 7 passenger bus already had 7 passengers . .4 of us were left . The only hotel rep there told us to “ catch a cab “ Fortunately two of the incredibly nice passengers already on board saw our predicament and gave up their seats so we made it on time ( barely ) . Surly for an airport hotel nothing could be more important .     Splurge on something nicer

    This really is a case of too good to be true. Managed to get a room in New Orleans for a good deal - we thought - and at a Quality Inn! Ok, the hotel has rebranded it looks like, and is in the middle of renovations. But - found our room. Whatever they used for either cleaning or to deodorize was nasty - perfumey incense or something not expected in a Quality Inn brand, I needed to hold a coffee pod to my nose for a few hours. There were no towels in our room, so I called the front desk, and was told to go to the office to get them. There was a couple of long black hairs in one of the clean(?) bath towels. There was only coffee for one in the room, and no one added more the next couple of days we were there. The bed was ok, pillows super squishy and not very comfortable. The door to the room had major gaps between the bottom, and the lock never did close quite right. It got chilly at night, and there was a draft. We had to use some of our bags and coats to block the wind. The room was not done up the second day - staff walked by the room peeking in the windows, and never knocked to see if we needed new towels or coffee. The breakfast - the first morning, there were no more eggs, and the waffle batter dispenser was empty. Asked for more eggs, and some were made. Asked for waffle batter, and we were made 2 waffles which was nice. The second morning, we asked for more eggs as there were none again, and we were told they weren’t going to make any more eggs so they could be thrown out like the day before. No fruit cups in the fridge, and the only fresh fruit available were bananas. Barely any yogurt either. The waffle batter dispenser was full and available tho. The third day, we just made our own breakfast. Definitely do not recommend. There were also a couple of larger size bugs in the bathroom and sink area.     Homeless Shelter

    I booked the room a month prior but when I got there the whole parking lot was blocked off. A security guard came up to us and said the hotel was being used as a homeless shelter- didn't specify if it was run by a charity or state department- so I would have to find a room somewhere else. He also explained several other people had rooms booked. The front desk phone is disconnected so I had no way of contacting anyone else in charge of this situation. There was no communication by the hotel to inform me (or anyone else) of the change, they kept the charges for the stay, and the night ended with trying to find another hotel room right before Mardi Gras. I can't find anything else in the news, charity blogs, or state department websites that explain why this happened without refunding hotel guests or blocking out dates so they couldn't make reservations.
