    We really enjoyed the Quarter House wine and cheese party Tuesday night. The ambiance was great. We enjoyed eating at Felix's Oyster bar and Bourbon Orleans.

    Location is good. Loading/unloading area terrible, lacking any cooking utensils even though unit did have pots/pans and bed/mattress in need of serious upgrading and replacement. Staff was very nice and helpful for taking care of unit issues. Again not what I would consider a gold crown as lacked upgraded amenities.

    Significant billing issues and service animal accessibility concerns

    I am writing this to warn other travelers, specifically veterans and those traveling with service animals, about our recent experience here in December 2025.While staying at this resort, management contacted us to demand a $150 "special cleaning fee" specifically because of my husband’s task-trained service animal. We explained that charging extra for a service animal’s presence is not permitted, but the resort insisted, claiming the animal’s hair constituted "property damage" that required an outside cleaning crew. To avoid further escalation during a medical episode, we paid the fee under protest.The most concerning part happened after we checked out. Upon reviewing the special cleaning invoice provided by the resort, we discovered the bill was issued by a company owned by the resort's own housekeeping manager, rather than an independent third-party service as they had claimed.While we eventually received a refund after involving a board representative, the initial aggressive demands and the nature of the invoicing were deeply distressing. We also reached out to our booking entity, Interval International, to report this billing practice and were told they would not intervene without a court order.If you rely on a service animal for a disability, be aware that you may face unexpected surcharges and significant stress at this location. We found the management’s approach to accessibility and billing transparency to be unacceptable.

    We have stayed here on several occasions and were first introduced by our friends who had a timeshare. The beds are comfortable and there is plenty of room. The kitchens are complete with coffee makers and more. Outstanding location, close to everything yet away from the late night crowds. Secure entry with a very welcoming staff. Incredible jazz club next door. Lovely courtyard with pool and a wine event one evening. Excellent host for the wine gathering...I think his name is Tony. You will not be disappointed!

    I like this place. It is clean, a bit off the beaten path, which means you dont get the noise from the parties. Family friendly. The service is top notch. The only complaint I have is that there is quite a bit of pipe noise at times, but that is kind of expected, the building is between 50 and 200 years old in places. Good rate, easy access. Is one of our favorite places to stay.
