The bad: the hotel rooms themselves left something to be desired. The good: we loved everyone who worked here… ESPECIALLY LEONARD!!! I truly believe we had the best bartender in all of New Orleans all to ourselves. Kurt was awesome, too. They really made it special. Stay away - Mouse, bugs and years of dust

This was the most disgusting hotel I’ve ever stayed in for a business trip. On the surface, it looked like a very nice hotel. Rooms looked well furnished and lobby was nice. But at night, I saw a mouse running out of my room and the same thing happened in a colleague’s room on the second floor. Both of us also had bugs in our room. Sink was clogged and a bad smell emitted from the sink every morning. Half the power outlets didn’t work so I tried to use the power strip behind the nightstand only to find it had not been cleaned in years and I was afraid to touch it! Our company paid for an entire block of rooms for a conference. When I complained they only gave me $200 off. Navage, the front desk supervisor was very condescending to me. Ridiculous! Stay away!!! The hotel is nice & has good food options on site, not far to walk from French quarter but also has a streetcar line not far from the hotel. Large room although had a really bad smell of chlorine which gave me a headache quickly. I asked to swap rooms but like for like wasn’t available and ‘all rooms are cleaned with chlorine’. I decided to change rooms anyway to a different style as the smell was so bad and the other room didn’t smell of chlorine. The other room was a bit musky but better than chlorine. Perhaps a note to housekeeping to reduce the volume of the chemical as it is a health hazard to breathe it in. One of the lifts wasn’t in very good service and took ages to move down floors, a lot of people complained during my stay. The evening I arrived, the girl working on reception around 8pm wasn’t very professional. She climbed and walked over the reception desk. And wasn’t the most helpful when it came to switching rooms, I was kind of left to do that myself. Wait time for food at the hotels restaurant is long. 10:30 early check-in ($100.00 charge) not available until after 11:30. In-room dining is “down” -no idea when or if it will be resolved. I had to go hat-in-hand around the lobby and restaurant seeking change for a $20 - no success. I booked here due to the proximity of the cruise port, which is the only “value.”By the way, it’s 2:00 in the afternoon on check-in day. Don’t think it’s gonna be a good stay!
