    Staff are wonderful. The facility was clean. Public spaces such as the dining are was clean. This location has an indoor swimming pool. There are plenty of restaurants within a .5 mile radius. I definitely will return to this location

    Terrible in every way. The first room reeked of cigarette smoke. We asked to switch rooms and were put in a room that reeked of marijuana smoke. Loud music and talking most of the night. Water pressure in the sink was a trickle, broken iron, tiny towels, etc. This is a cut-rate hotel with a ridiculously high price point. We were only there for one night, or I would have left for another option.

    This is not a hotel where I would stay again. I was placed in a room that was in the original "motor-up" area of the hotel, and I was mostly appalled at the quality of the room. It smelled of wet bacteria, so significant that I did not get a good night's rest. In addition, the drapery was so old that it was decaying. The floor was so dirty that it soiled my socks, the tub didn't drain while taking a shower, and the bathroom fan was so loud that it almost made it unbearable to be in the bathroom. This is not a hotel where I would stay again.

    I booked a 2-night stay for a work trip after reading what seemed to be decent reviews. Since I was going to be out all day, I politely asked the housekeeping staff not to clean my room.Upon my return later that evening, I discovered that not only had my room been accessed and cleaned without my permission, but all of my personal belongings had been removed. I was not given notification that the hotel had unilaterally relocated me to a different room. This action represents a clear and troubling breach of guest privacy and a potential violation of property rights.Since the incident, I have made repeated attempts over a period of two weeks to contact both the on-site manager and the regional director. These attempts have been met with silence and a complete lack of acknowledgment or response.Given the severity of this incident and the lack of accountability from hotel management, I strongly caution prospective guests against staying at this property.

    Best Western Hotel in Massapequa Park, NY double billed me

    Best Western Bar Harbor Inn in Massapequa Park, NY “Double Billed me $707.25” & has not refunded my money since 3/27/2025 despite 4 in person requests & 15 telephone call requests. Best Western has never returned a phone call. I even called & asked for the CEO. I was transferred to the executive department & all I got was a message asking me to leave a message. Iris & Kathie work at the reservation counter at the Massapequa Park location. They have been trying very hard to get this problem resolved. They’ve left numerous messages for management. I appreciate the time Iris & Kathie have devoted trying to help me. They’re very professional. I’m considering going to my local news station hoping they’ll do a segment about this & that they’re able to help me get this problem resolved. The credit card company has put this dispute on the account.My biggest mistake upon check-in was not getting paper receipts. Rooms were booked because we were going to a funereal. Our brains were grieving & we trusted the hotel to do their job. Always get receipts upon check-in & check-out.
