  This hotel is located in the Briarwood section of Queens and it is walking distance to both the Briarwood and Van Wyck subway stations - 8 to 10 minute easy walk to both stations. If you take one of the express subway trains, you will reach Manhattan in less than an hour. There are eating establishments a couple of blocks away on Queens Boulevard, including a couple of places where you can buy delicious New York bagels. The hotel is relatively small, but functional, and the room that I had was clean, although the bathroom was small, and the bed was comfortable. Standard bathroom amenities were offered and the television had cable channels and worked well. Breakfast options were limited, with no yogurt offered. The negatives that I have regarding the room is that it was dim, even with all of the lights on, and even though I was not facing the Van Wyck expressway, there was a bit of noise, including ambulance sirens as there is a near-by hospital.All-in-all, not a bad hotel, conveniently located, and at a reasonable price. A shout-out to the front desk clerk, Alfie, who provided transportation advice and was very kind.

  Jamaica Queens New York best western, try another hotel

  Hi, I typically don't leave reviews but staying in Jamaica Queens York at the Best Western was a bad experience for me. In April 2026 The room was extremely dirty. I didn't feel comfortable. There was dust everywhere including on all the services in the floor was very dirty. The location wasn't the best. Very noisy people were slamming doors throughout the night and I paid over $200 during the week for one night. the front desk didn't care. housekeeping started at 6:30 a.m. very loud and disruptive doing their chores in the hallway which had you awaken. Don't think I'd stay at this location again. Most Best Western locations typically are a good value. for your money not this one.   Middle of the coldest days in a decade, and no insulation around windows, allowing quite cold air to flow constantly. Had to jam a towel on the window sill to stem the cold air as best as possible. Oddly enough, no toilet paper holder...just a roll of toilet paper on the sink. The hotel is next to the Van Wyck Expressway, so you are treated to honking horns, traffic, and sirens of emergency vehicles at no extra charge. Other than breakfast, no other food options at the hotel...empty snack machines. The breakfast was a bright spot, though. Clean area, plenty of seating, and a good selection of food and drink options. Even had an automatic pancake maker ! It's unfortunate when breakfast is the highlight of a hotel stay, but this was my experience. I would not stay here again, and I would recommend to others they look elsewhere in the area to avoid disappointment.   Convenient location, at a good price

  Perfect location in terms of close proximity to JFK & the subway, visible from our room. The rooms are basic, but comfortable, clean & had all the necessary amenities, including a full sized mirror. We stayed in an accessible room which had adequate space & a good sized bathroom for manoeuvring. The hotel was very busy, but no crowding in the breakfast room, which had ample seating. The breakfast offerings was very good, in terms of taste & presentation....I appreciate the overseeing of the staff who ensured the serving stations were kept clean and replenished. No delays nor issues with the elevator. The front desk staff were very pleasant & friendly, particularly the young man who worked the evening of Nov 13 (sorry no name), but he was very helpful throughout our stay. Adequate parking for a NY location. Husband says, it's his new base when in NY.

  The location was perfect for us because we were there to tour colleges and St. John's University is very close by. While the hotel and rooms are a little small, it was well kept and clean. The staff are very friendly and helpful. When making a change online, I accidentally booked an extra room and the front desk clerk quickly resolved the issue without complaint or questions. Free parking in NY is worth the value alone.
