  Booked through Expedia with a confirmed reservation, but the receptionist refused to check me in and still kept my money. The treatment felt discriminatory and completely unprofessional. Left me without a place to stay. Would not recommend.

  My children and I booked three rooms total, they were filled with mold and unsavory quests. I had to go to an urgent care for a breathing treatment due to the smell in the rooms. I was going to leave however as I was airing out the room someone walked in to a adjacent door leading outside, I was terrified as I was alone with my youngest. I had to physically remove him from the room and kick the door closed as he was not leaving on his own. While waiting for my other son to arrive (as I could not leave my youngest by himself and I was scared to leave) I was overwhelmed and overcome by the mold. I am still sick three days later. The night audit did not speak any English and I had to call my son in law to translate my issues, after my son arrived the night manager came and he walked through the room with me and agreed that the conditions were less then okay and he wouldnt want his family staying in it either. We looked at the two other rooms for my children and they both were in the same condition. The night manager assured that he would refund us the money for the three room through our third parties and they have yet to respond to them. I have called all day yesterday and today and no one is picking up at the hotel. The hotel is a rent by the week place and the parking lot is filled with people coming in and out. If I do not receive a full refund for ALL three rooms I will be hiring an attorney for the stress and reimbursment for my medical expenses.

  So bad.. Room in poor condition. Bath tub caulk moldy with no updates since built in the 60's. To add more insult, no hot water in the morning and all we got was an apology. See pic of tub mold on caulk

  Wanted a reasonable price in an acceptable accommodation, The Budget Host Inn was an excellent choice. The room was spacious and well appointed, Wi-Fi definitely spotty. Grounds and pool were comfortable and relaxing. The clientele was varied which made the atmosphere feel lighter and more welcoming. Luxury it's not, enlightened it is. Hannan was helpful and thorough, his customer service skills elevate the experience, no one is unwelcome here. Nice to find graciousness at a rational price on the East End.

  A Rare Gem

  P m This is a rare time capsule gem . Built brick ny masons in 1969. French panes of wood and glass. Building 2 has Southern plantation columns and balconies with tables that overlook an unusual shaped pool built of concrete. There are large open spaces of grass, picnic tables and barbecues scattered about. An inexpensive family getaway. Affordable one-three nights in a high cost area. Suitable drive to posh towns. Please remember the word “budget” and its age. Clean. Repaired. Not corporate cookie cutter. The young people managing the property strive to improve and are succeeding, blending updates with nod to past very nicely. For a budget hotel, I give it a 5!
