    Great hotel for business travelers

    Stayed here for two nights for a business trip and had a great experience. The staff were very friendly and helpful, especially Isis at the front desk and Ricky at the restaurant. Convenient location and my room was clean and quiet. The shower was very nice, and the bath products were great. I'll be back!

    I stayed at the Canopy in Jersey City yesterday, and although my stay was short, the experience made it all the better. I especially wanted to recognize Nisha for making my visit so memorable. She assisted me during both check-in and check-out and was incredibly welcoming, attentive, and genuinely went above and beyond expectations.What truly makes a beautiful hotel stand above the rest is an exceptional team, and the Canopy wears that proudly. Every interaction felt warm and professional. The restaurant staff and Studio Menu were incredible as well and added even more to the overall experience.Thank you again, Nisha, for your kindness, hospitality, and professionalism.     We chose this hotel based on the reviews, convenient location to NYC, and the price. We were so happy with our decision. Getting to NYC via the PATH train was easy - the Grove St station is right by the hotel. You can also get to Newark, NJ, which we did to see an event at the Prudential Center during our stay. The beds were comfortable, the AC was wonderful, and we loved the fruit infused water available in the lobby. We also ate at the hotel restaurant, called “The Studio,” twice for breakfast because it was convenient with our travel plans. Note you may want to leave extra time if you eat there - as the service is slow based on the amount of people being served and the staff available. Would definitely stay here again!     Convenient location in vibrant Jersey City, 8 minutes ride from WTC, spacious rooms compared to NYC standards, small bathrooms, walk in shower, satisfying AC, daily housekeeping, good breakfast, nice staff, shabby carpets on wooden floors should be replaced soon (better: removed). Don' t miss Hudson River Waterfront Walkway!     An odd place to be

    It's hard to categorize this hotel. It doesn't look like a limited service hotel, however it is not a full service one - it fact I would say it is a NO service hotel. 1 person covering reception (that is mostly missing in action hiding in the back room with the front desk empty) and 1 person looking after the bar, that's it.No proactive upgrade for Gold by either Hilton system (in fact no recognition of the status at all), had to ask, receptionist just typed something in silence and gave me the key - no details given (figured out in the app that she managed to upgrade to a Deluxe room). No details about the hotel, it's services or F&B offering (and elite member credits) were given on check-in.The Deluxe room layout is odd. It's of a good size, however is mostly empty space. No proper desk or table, no proper wardrobe. No place to sit to put your shoes on near the entrance, no place to hang a coat either. The bathroom area consists of 3 interconnected mini rooms that house coffee machine/storage area > sink and some lounge seating (not sure why anyone wants to sit in front of the sink?) > and the shower and toilet in the end.Hilton Gold/Diamond members get a $15 food&beverage credit instead of a breakfast that will obviously not cover anywhere close to the proper breakfast here, but you can spend it in the bar (it will cover 1 beer with tax&tip, lol) - the bar is well stocked with some good beer from 2 Jersey City craft breweries that you will struggle to find elsewhere.
