  Superb hospitality

  This is a 10 out of 10 and an affordable hotel especially in the bronx. The train station is 2 blocks away to go to the city and a bus stop as well. Public transportation is accessible. I gave the hotel the benefit of the doubt when i 1st booked i was hesitant to go to the bronx. I'm SO GLAD I did it's sooooooo affordable i wish I've known about this hotel earlier on. I was staying in Manhattan and my gosh it was so expensive but this place rooms are spacious, clean, microwave and fridge available, parking lot on site. Staff is super sweet, friendly, warm and accommodating. Superb hospitality my kids and I enjoyed our stay here. No one bothers you in the neighborhood, the hotel is clean. Housekeeping is on que I have no complaints. The a.c. had a Lil urinated odor for some reason but went away after awhile. I'd suggest if you're looking for a place for a reasonable and i mean inexpensive price and comfortable this is the place to be. Breakfast is served complimentary every morning but needs a change sausage and egg cheese everyday loses its value, before i forget the hotel has a Lil gym as well. Don't waste your money downtown in Manhattan if you want to that's fine. If you have family this is a plus. Thank me later.

  Everything was fantastic until....

  This property is very neatly and nicely positioned with the Bronx area. Very nice accommodations for NYC visitors... All staff was very pleasant except one lady at the desk, Linda!!! Omg, I arrived at hotel on Tuesday morning before check-in time and she presented very ugly. But me having worked in hotels before, I assumed I was wrong and paid it very little attention; left my bags and came back later to checkin to my suite room. I did not see her all week but enjoyed pleasant interacting with Maria the housekeeping supervisor, as well as breakfast attendants, other fd staff, security, and housemen. Today, on checkout, Linda returns to work. Checkout here is 11am but since my profile will update to Platinum, I requested a noon checkout. I saw Linda walking thru the breakfast area, after leaving the staff restroom and I called for her. Maybe she didnt hear me so breakfast attendant called her by name, she turned, gave us an evil eye and continued her journey. There were no guest waiting at the desk, she simply did not want to be bothered. After completing my food, I walked to desk and requested the late checkout. She said ok and we walked away. While waiting for elevator, she consistently gave myself and my companion and evil stare until the elevator door closed. I really dont think the hospitality industry is a career and personality match for this person. Maybe a budding career in construction is a more appropriate fit.

  Disappointing Stay - Poor Customer Service During Pinstripe Bowl Weekend

  I stayed here for two nights during the Pinstripe Bowl (December 2025) and had a very disappointing experience.Check-in Issue: The afternoon front desk staff were extremely unhelpful and unprofessional. I made a mistake and forgot my physical credit card when I switched purses, though I had Google Pay with the same card saved digitally. I didn't realize the hotel doesn't accept Google Pay until check-in. While I understand this was my error, the front desk staff's response was extremely unhelpful and unprofessional.They refused to call my sister to verify card information, wouldn't accept an emailed copy, and wouldn't even suggest other nearby hotels. This was frustrating since they had my ID and the reservation was made with the same card. I was visibly upset and in tears, and they showed zero empathy.When another Penn State alum I had just met offered to help pay, the staff interrogated us asking "Do you know each other?" When we explained we were both there for the game, I had to plead "Come on, help me out!" before the clerk finally went to speak with a manager.Location & Safety: The hotel is conveniently located close to the subway system and Yankee Stadium, which was ideal for getting to the Pinstripe Bowl. I also felt safe during my stay.Room Quality: The bed was very uncomfortable - hard as a rock despite being large. The entryway has a motion-sensor light that kept turning on throughout the night, disrupting sleep. The highway noise was also quite loud where my room was located.Overall: While I own my mistake about the card, the staff's rudeness and complete lack of customer service was unacceptable. I will not be staying here again. For the rates charged during bowl weekend, I expected much better.

  My last ballpark #30

  · This was my last ballpark when the TIgers played . Now I have been to all 30. The cost to get there from LGA with Uber was 50. I got there about 11am and the cost for room early was $40. Check in was good and room(403) was large. It had a phone, clock, micro, fridge, cf maker. I did not hear any noise from hallway or outdoors. Breakfast had homemade waffles, breads, eggs w/cheese, sausage, cereal and bev. The cost to go to ballpark that the hotel called taxi was $11 but to return fr ballpark Uber wanted 125(he said that was normal). I got into a Curb taxi and he did not turn on the meter. Down the road he said it was a flat rate of $60. I asked why as it was $11 to get there. He said ,you want out. Going to report him. I stayed and paid. If you walk out of the Hotel take a left to corner then left. Down a bit is a gas station and a premade food mart. Cost for a 3 piece fried chicken, rice and hot cabbage was $18, Hay its NY!!!!!!!!!!!!! To get back to LGA with UBer was $37.50.Disliked · The part I did not understand that it was $40 for 4 hrs early check in but the next day it was going to be 157 for a late stay of 4 hrs.

  Hotel $250 for false accusation of smoking

  After 39 calls, Yes 39 calls, to find a hotel in NYC because of Delta maintenance delay, we found a room in the hotel. All went well until a few days later when I noticed $250 charge in my bank account. I had to wait until I got back to the country to inquire about it. I was flabbergasted to know that I was charged for smoking in the room. They told me they had to shampoo the room and air it. The only issue is that I HAVE NEVER SMOKED IN MY LIFE. I was with my wife and my 7 months old baby. Neither one of them smokes!!!!! The hotel doesn't want to refund me. So I'm involving BBB and consumer protection entities. This hotel could rob you with a few key strokes so beware you could find yourself falsely accused of smoking weed or stealing the TV set.
