Awful — avoid like the plague!

This is one of those instances where I really wish I could give this place no stars. After making and paying for a reservation, these dishonest and greedy hosts decided to give away my room to somebody else.I show up around midnight just to be faced with an aggressive and unapologetic attitude from their attendant. Knowing they had no room rooms, they first tried to lie about not having a reservation for me.Then after confronted with paperwork, they proceeded to tell me to “f-off”, “get out” and “do wherever I want”. Advice is simple, stay away from this hellhole at all cost. There is a reason why they are such a cheap hotel!

Great Value and Perfect Location Near Manhattan

Feather Factory is my favorite hotel in New York! The location is fantastic — just a short walk to nearby subway stations, which makes getting into Manhattan quick and easy. It feels like you’re in the city without actually being in the middle of the city, which is a huge plus. The neighborhood is quieter and less hectic, but you still have great access to everything New York has to offer.The hotel itself is the definition of value for money: clean, comfortable, and affordable. The atmosphere is simple but welcoming, and the staff are always kind and helpful. It has everything you need for a relaxing stay at a great price.One thing to note is that the hotel is close to the Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) tracks, so you may hear trains passing by. If you’re a very light sleeper, that could be an issue — though it personally didn’t bother me at all.Overall, it’s a wonderful place to stay, and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting New York!

Great Hotel at bargain price.

This is an excellent choice for a mid-range property . My room, and the public areas were spotless. Great room service and a friendly staff. My room was supplied with a wood floor ( better hygiene ) and every soap article for my convenience . The subway is a decent 13 minute walk , requiring modest mobility for older guests. Good restaurants are located by the # 7 subway. The area is industrial but quite safe. The room rates are WELL below a Manhattan hotel .

Entering NYC without a place to go was worrying. Looking through my options, it was apparent that a room under $300 a night was going to be sacrificing comfort. Well I was wrong, the king room I got here for $230 was exceptional! Clean room, lots of space vertically, spacious bathroom & comfortable bed. I was able to check in early & they even upgraded my room (probably because it was the only room they had available early). The snacks in the lobby for sale had a big selection & good price. All in all, I was very satisfied with Feather Factory. Will be staying here again next time I find myself in NYC.

wish I could leave 0 stars but since I cant I'll tell you why.The bed had bed bugs.The towels had blood stains.The Train will make you a walking zombie from the lack of sleep you will get.This is not a hotel it's a glorified MOTEL.The men at migrant shelter next door are plotting on how to rob you if youre a man or worse if you're a woman.Please do yourself a favor and stay anywhere but here
