    Good location

    rating12 Nov 2019

Went here for a few hours to get out of the rain and have some time alone with my boyfriend. This motel is right outside of busy downtown flushing a few short blocks from the 7 train and very close to a pool hall just doors away. Parking is limited on side of the building and there is a lot of in and out because it offers short stays. From this motel there was no views as it faces many big buildings. Food options unfortunately are very limited to mostly only Asian cuisine. The Rooms are very tiny as well as the bathroom and are very out dated but to my surprise the mattress seemed brand new and was plush and comfortable. There was a small flat screen tv that had cable channels and offered adult channels for free. I also noticed a small fridge that sat on the floor on a towel. The Room was very Clean and everything worked well and had a pretty lobby and working elevator. Its a decent place to spend a few hours and everything seemed safe and clean. We plan on coming back because the price was fair for what we got and the short time we were there.

Plastic on Mattress do not stay there

    rating03 Oct 2016

Booked 2 nights, 1st tried to sleep on a thin sheet over a thick plastic covered mattress HORRIBLE. 2nd night had to waste money and stay at a Hotel around the corner. Non smoking but ashtray in room smelling bad. No coffee maker in small room with 1 average size bed for 2. Coffee in reception was always empty. When we arrived we couldn't understand the staff as they didn't seem to understand English. The only good thing was the clean white towels and the ease to get on a train to Grand Central Stn.

I only stay here as it is 120 steps from Carom Cafe Billiards

    rating10 Aug 2016

I have been staying here for years off and on as it is a one minute walk to the finest billiard room in the country and is cheap. That being said every time I have roomed in this placed there have always been issues. The staff is generally surely and hostile unless you slip them a Jackson and then the fall in love with you, sort off. The front desk person is behind 2 inches of plex-i-glass so that should tell you something. The guest elevators are also used for freight and dirty laundery and are the slowest in the world. The rooms are small with no place to hang your clothes and the bars of soap and towels are the same. THEY CAN BE RENTED BY THE HOUR so what does that tell you. Their porno channels are really disgusting but have been updated since my last visit. Mirrors behind the beds and perhaps even a hooker or two in residence, but I have no first hand experience on that matter. 3 mile plus from La Guardia and free limited free parking is a plus plus it is only $110-130 a night which is not bad for the ratlands. I was in Vietnam for 33 months and slept in ditches so my standards are lower than most. NEXT TIME I go to NYC to go to Carom Café Billiards I will stay here again just because of location, location and I am a cheap Charlie.

Visiting NYC? Stay in Queens on the Cheap...

    rating10 Oct 2015

I gave it a 4/5 because they don't take the plastic off the mattresses which does not enhance REM sleep. Plus, they don't have fitted sheets. Ergo, ehhhhh! And the free coffee in the lobby is weak as heck!!!Very Clean, Helpful Staff, Will be staying there again! No cable though, didn't inquire why... wasn't really there to watch TV. We stayed in 308 which is top floor with front (or street) facing windows and were treated to a perfect sunrise! No matter what Google says (or the 'motel concierge'), the closest Dunkin Donuts is 34th and Union!...just there this morning! Bus stop right outside of motel. Subway is about 6 blocks away...Leaving the motel, you go to the right, up Linden to Northern Blvd over to Main St and up all the way to Roosevelt. Duane Reade is opposite the subway entrance. The 7 will get you to Manhattan (Times Square- 42nd and 7th) where you'll find Madame Toussaude's and Ripley's Believe It or Not! Starbucks, Micky D's, BB King's Restaurant (the musician BB King I want to be clear that I am not talking about Burger King)... walk up to 8th,the C train goes to Central Park (81st St Stop-Museum of Natural History!Anyhoo, I had a wonderful time visiting NYC for my 35th birthday 10/11! I will be back on my Anniversary 11/11. Happy Travels to All! TripAdvisor is the best way to worry less and enjoy more in all things travel... hope this helps!
