  Our new hotel for Long Island visits!

  We've visited Long Island many times and this was the first at The Holiday Inn Westbury and it will be our "Go To" hotel from now on! The customer service staff including the restaurant was exceptional, the room comfortable and clean and the breakfast was....top notch! Individual brewed coffee hit the spot! Thank you!   As you can see from my past reviews I have stayed here annually in 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025 and now 2026. I always enjoyed my stays here despite the continued adjacent construction and occasional minor issues. This time they were repaving the rear parking lot. I again used my annual free night award for my free one night stay using their app on my iPhone. Normal check in is 3 PM. I advised the hotel that I will be checking in earlier at 2 PM and that I preferred down pillows. When I arrived the parking lot was full, but I was able to easily check into my room 227 at 2 PM. The front desk recognized my IHG platinum elite membership status. My room 227 viewed the interior courtyard or what the hotel calls garden view. See my day and night pics from my room window. Everything in my room was nice and functional. The HDTV was a nice large size for the room. I had the usual coffee maker and refrigerator although coffee was also available in the morning hotel lobby. Also they offered me a complimentary breakfast coupon as well as a small bag with water bottles and three small snacks. My complimentary breakfast buffet included cage free scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes, french toast and a variety of breads. They also had two automatic coffee machines including regular and decaf. They also had a yogurt bar. I checked out using my IHG app on my iPhone. I will return here again next year.   Great location. But not as advertised.

  A recent two week stay as a Diamond Elite member.Pros: -Great location. Handy to a lot of shopping options. Many even walking distance. -Comfortable room.-Decent breakfast buffet with the usual offerings and even the occasional avocado toast. |Staff. Everyone I interacted with was very pleasant. I have nothing bad to say about the people. They were all great. Cons: -If you look at their website and expected a full service bar and restaurant, you will be extremely disappointed. Neither exist, despite the great pictures on their own page. (and having a full bar and restaurant was one of the reasons I booked the hotel)-I was asked to change rooms in the middle of my two week stay (at about 8:00 at night). I protested, but to no avail. I was promised a decent amount of extra points for my troubles. (I have yet to see those)-Security is questionable, as the side door is propped open on a regular basis for whatever reason -If you look online and expect a pool. Nope. It has been filled in with dirt. Oh.....one last thing. I'm assuming that Diamond Elite members are some of their best customers. They had three parking spots for those members and one of those spots had an ATV snowplow parked in it the whole two weeks. So how much do they value their "best" customers?Overall, not a terrible place to stay. Location great. Just know what they do or don't offer before making your decision.   DO NOT STAY HERE EVERRRRRR

  Worst hotel I have ever stayed at .DO NOT STAY HERE . Rooms were dirty staff is rude . I arrived as I was trying to check in witness the nasty attitudes while they were talking at guest. The way they spoke to her was unacceptable. They have long term guest staying that they treat like garbage. They do not allow those guest to eat or enter restaurant. They make them eat in basement . My room did not have microwave . All guests use same microwave which is nasty . The staff sat in face talking about other guest calling them homeless saying they should be lucky we allow them to stay and provide food , saying all they do is complain . If they were on the street they wouldn’t have any food . Take what they can get or don’t eat . That is not how you speak about your guest . Not how you speak or treat anybody regardless of their situation. Roaches and mice running around hotel. This place needs to be shut down .   Another Perfect six day vacation, at this Holiday Inn.

  The location is perfect for shopping and easy access to the train station to get into the city. You feel safe, to move around this area , and there are lots of eating places in walking distance.However what stood out to me was the excellent customer service that I received from Kelly Carey, when attempting to make my reservation. Your voice with my first phone conversation was so genuinely warm and friendly, and I appreciated how quickly all my details were confirmed and emailed to me with such efficiency. During my stay, it was lovely to have Ginelle at the front desk checking up on me, and so willing to accommodate all my little needs.My husband and I felt very special and we look forward to our next visit.
