    Thank you and please allow us to congratulate you all on the excellent service at the front desk by Victoria at check-in the afternoon of 2.14.26, as well as by the entire breakfast staff the morning of Sunday 2.15.26. Truly exceptional! The room (#122) was very good, although we had a bit of a challenge with the thermostat in keeping a consistent comfortable temperature on a cold night. The most disappointing aspect was the bathroom door, which simply would not stay closed, per the photo I am posting. There was no working locking mechanism and the door itself would slide wide open every single time one attempted to shut it. Although we've been living in the Boston, MA area for thirty years now, please know that we absolutely do intend to return to this hotel, as we often visit Newark, NJ, (both my wife and my hometown). If a refund for the visit of 2.14.26 is not possible, would a voucher for a future night's stay be available?     This was our go to hotel for Newark Airport until this last stay. They did not give us the room requested as we are Hilton Honor members and were able to pick our room. The bathroom door had no handle. Room smelled like someone smoked in it. Only one coffee cup and no creamers in room. Air conditioner squeals after about 15 minutes and sounds like its ready to catch fire. The worst of it all was the parking spots were not cleared of snow and it was difficult to find a spot that your vehicle would fit in and then have to try to drag your bags through all of the snow. It was a week since the storm and the parking area should have been cleaned. The last time we stayed the bathroom door was off the hinge and wouldn't close. We will definitely try for a different hotel next time.     A completely disgraceful experience. The so-called “suite” was nothing more than a dilapidated room. Worn carpet, worn out ugly sofa, no toilet paper holder, no working telephone ,and cracked vinyl/plastic window shade. Motel 6 wouldn’t even offer this crap.The staff couldn’t have cared less. Rude, indifferent and demonstrably unconcerned. I am a Hilton Honors member. Have enjoyed many stays at other Homes 2 Suites. I went out of my way to stay at the Newark facility.     Good hotel, close to airport. It was clean and comfortable. Only complaint would be the bathroom door in room 117 was off the hinge and wouldn't close at all. The front desk was made aware and but they didn't have any maintenance in the evening. She did offer to move our room.     “I had a fantastic stay at this hotel! The room was ok , with a beautiful view. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making me feel right at home. Spicily Edgar assistant manager is very helpful The amenities were top-notch, and the location was perfect for exploring the city.
