  Check-In: Easy and quick. As a globalist, I supposedly was upgraded, but I don't know what I was upgraded to, as the room was pretty small and basic. I was on the 10th floor (out of 20 or so). Room: Small but average size for New York, I guess. Bathroom faucet pressure would go in and out. Bed was comfy and A/C worked well. Room came with an umbrella to borrow, 1 robe (wish there was 2), and Small mini fridge for you to use. Toiletries in the shower were in very poorly functioning pump bottles. The pumps did not work very well. Water and Ice on many floors (even floors, I believe). It was night having it right across from my room. Only big issue here was the towels on our last night. The replaced towels smelled really bad (either moldy or kind of body-odor-like). I asked for replacement towels and received a whole new set of towels. When I received them, I smelled the towel and it was fine, only to realize later that I was smelling the floor towel (they provided a whole set of towels including handtowels). The replacement bath towels also smelled really bad. We ended up using the clean hand towels and floor towel instead. (This only was an issue on our last night out of 4 nights).Hotel: Really great common areas (2nd floor) all day and rooftop until 4pm. 2nd floor common area includes a microwave and disposable plates and utensils. There is also an outdoor space. Really great spot to relax and "work" in. Elevator buttons are kind of messed up sometimes. It takes multiple pushes to try and get the elevator buttons to work for some floors. We noticed others having problems sometimes too. Globalist breakfast: You are provided $25 vouchers per person for the breakfast. This covers everything you'll need for breakfast. You do not have to sign anything when finished and could just leave (which is great).Would I return? Possibly, but I wouldn't say it's my go-to each time I'm in the city -- mainly due to the basic room and the whole towel situation. I might try other hotels before returning to this one.   I have stayed at Hotel 50 Bowery a number of times over the past several years. It is my go-to hotel when in NYC because of its reasonable prices, clean and modern rooms, outstanding service, and strategic location. All of my previous visits have been excellent and this visit was no different. I highly recommend this property.   Clean and comfortable retreat in the heart of Chinatown.

  We had a great experience at Hotel 50 Bowery. The rooms were clean and comfortable and you can't beat the food in Chinatown. The location was good for our needs and we were able to navigate the subway to most everywhere we needed to go. Would definitely return. As a bonus, there was a fun house music event on the rooftop when we were there that we got to enjoy with beautiful views of the skyline.   Great hotel for location and all the amenities the hotel offers. Roof top bar is a must for great city view. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable.
