  Excellent hotel. The rooms are clean and quiet. The staff is very helpful and responsive. So convenient to the theaters and Times Square.

  We stay in the Hyatt Centric every time we visit NYC and have always had a good experience. From the moment you walk in the door you're greeted with a warm hello from a friendly staff member. The hotel is immaculately clean and considering its proximity to Times Square (between 5th & 6th Ave) it is extremely quiet. The location is perfect if you plan on going to a Broadway play. You'll be within walking distance to Penn Station too. There are a lot of hotels in NYC but this is the only one I choose time after time.

  Great location, not fancy, but very clean, largest room we've ever had in NYC!

  The Hyatt Centric Times Square was a great place to stay for our NYC trip. It is right in Times Square, felt safe, and was a great location for walking to many places (Broadway/Theater District, New York Public Library, Bryant Park, Rockefeller Center, New York Ferry, restaurants, etc) and easily taking quick trips on the subway or via Lyft/Uber to other parts of Manhattan. The hotel was not the fanciest ever, but it was very clean, and all of the staff were very nice. We only had one issue during our stay. We specifically booked a deluxe, over-sized room of 460 square feet for extra space. The staff member who checked us in the first night did not give us the correct room, as it was much smaller than expected, and we had to sleep there for the first night. He apparently did not have the room we booked available (due to AMEX overbooking rooms, according to him later), but he did not even tell us he was putting us in a smaller room. Once I saw the room, I immediately knew the room was not what we had booked or paid for. The 2nd day, a manager (Tyler, very nice) moved us to an even larger room than we booked, for the remainder of our stay. So the service recovery was good, but we did not appreciate the initial staff member not being forthcoming. Again, the clean room with ample space worked out in the end. Our room had a decent view of the city, but also included city noise until 2:00 or 3:00 a.m. Of note, the small market/cafe in the lobby of the hotel was very convenient for grabbing coffee and/or a quick bite to eat when on the go. We would definitely stay at the Hyatt Centric Times Square again if back in NYC!

  I booked two rooms at the Hyatt Centric Times Square for my family while attending my daughter's graduation. My daughter arrived to her room to find the TV blasting and the balcony door wide open, which made her feel unsafe staying alone. The following night, the bathroom flooded due to a leak, soaking some of her belongings and forcing her to check out quickly. The front desk acknowledged the issue and offered a complimentary night because of the flooding. However, when I later spoke with management, they denied any compensation had been offered and claimed there was no evidence of water in the room. Of course there wasn't - this was after my daughter had checked out and the room had already been cleaned.The most disappointing part wasn't the flooded room - it was management's refusal to honor what was promised and the implication that we were not telling the truth. As a travel agent, I rely on personal experiences when recommending hotels, and unfortunately, I cannot recommend this property. There are plenty of hotels in the area with much better care for their guests.   Great location with good-sized rooms for NYC

  Our stay at Hyatt Centric in Times Square was a pleasure for me, but a business trip for my husband. I am a teacher, and it’s my summer break, so I will walk the city and try to see a couple of Broadway shows. My husband picked this hotel for its location, as it is convenient for him to get to Rockefeller Center and Broadway shows, and for me to get to Rockefeller Center. Room, Cleanliness, & Maintenance: The hotel is very clean. The room is pretty spacious for an NYC room. There is a desk that I used to eat at a couple of times, a recliner, and space on the wall for two suitcases. They could use another luggage rack, as they only had one. The bed is neither too soft nor too hard. The cleaner on my floor was very friendly, provided extra towels, and cleaned the room while I went for my morning walk. There was security to open doors and ensure that everyone entering was either at the hotel or the bar on the rooftop bar. Noise & Comfort: The hotel is near Times Square, so it can be noisy outside, but you’re in the center of it all, so expect it. I am not a fan of their soft, squishy pillows, but they have firmer ones available upon request. Accuracy of Amenities: WiFi was very fast and easy to access. They have a rooftop bar that has good views. The gym was small but equipped with everything necessary.
