  Affordable and conveniently located boutique hotel

  Although the rooms are small, they are very thoughtfully designed with every possible space saving convenience. The breakfast was more than ample and well managed with hotel personnel making sure food was there and the eating area was kept clean.   Checks a lot of boxes. Great location. Hotel was clean and rooms were small but comfy. I was surprised there were no drawers to place any clothing and just one very small closet. For three people, we pretty much had to live out of our suitcases. The sofa bed worked well for a smaller through 5 foot tall person. Usually a longer wait for the elevators, but if you plan for it no big deal. The hotel was spotless, Friendly staff, good breakfast and free wifi. I would stay here again for sure.   This location is absolutely amazing in terms of convenience. The pizza spot down the block has the best garlic knot's I've ever had (we ate them three days in a row). I enjoy Irish pubs and there are two, one on each side of the hotel. There is a wine store and 7-eleven for convenience and the subway is only a block away. Centrally located on the division between hell's kitchen in the garment district. We walked from Pier 79 for a river cruise in 5 min from the west and Time square is another 5 minute walk north east with the Empire State building nearby. so you really can't beat it. I will say as expected the rooms in this old of a building are quite small. That I can understand but if they are going to have a smaller bathroom as well, they need to have fixtures that support the downsize. You absolutely can't shower without coming out exhausted from being accosted by so much water. The showerhead is way too large for such a small shower and the pressure has the water slamming against the farthest wall leaving you in between feeling like your outside in a downpour lol Not relaxing in the least and as a woman, hard to shave or heaven forbid if its not your hair washing day. No choice there, you can't avoid it. Housekeeping only changed sheets and added towels. We did have to take our own trash. I've never had that happen at a Hyatt so maybe they were new. Wasn't a big deal as I typically take food out myself anyway to avoid any smells in our room. As a traveler who exclusively stays at Hyatt everything else was up to par for their brand.   The location is excellent, just a short walk from Times Square, and the room itself was spacious, clean, and comfortable. As a base for exploring New York, it does the job well.Unfortunately, several things left me disappointed, especially considering this is a Hyatt property. Charging $6 for a small bottle of water placed in the room feels excessive. At that price, I would rather not have it there at all. It comes across as penny-pinching from a hotel brand that should know better.The bathroom sink had very weak water pressure, and the fixed shower head was not particularly practical. The elevators were often overcrowded, with long queues throughout the day.The biggest disappointment was breakfast. The dining area was extremely crowded, the food selection was limited, and almost everything was sweet. As a European traveler, I struggled to find fresh or savory options. I was also surprised to see breakfast served almost entirely with disposable plates, cups, and cutlery. In 2026, that feels outdated and wasteful.Overall, the room and location were good, but the overall experience fell short of what I expected from Hyatt.   Good value for Midtown

  Room was larger than expected for Midtown Manhattan, though bathroom is rather tight. Staff were efficient and helpful, rooms and lobby clean and welcoming. Breakfast had tension barriers to guide guests through the hot food line, which was a bit disappointing when I only needed silverware and had to enter that line to retrieve. Would suggest reconfiguring. Overall a good experience, would stay again if needing a Times Square location.
