Location

This city hotel is an eclectic urban escape on Manhattan's Westside. It is located in the diverse Hell's Kitchen, overlooking the Hudson River and the Intrepid Sea-Air-Space Museum. A short walk will bring guests to Times Square and to the theatre district. Guests will find a number of restaurants and nightlife spots within 5 minutes' walk of the establishment, and the M50 bus stops just 2 min away. Penn Station is a 20-minute walk from the accommodation and the Time Warner Center is the same distance away.

Facility

The hotel has a lift and features 222 non-smoking rooms. English-speaking staff at the reception desk in the lobby are ready to assist you with check-in and check-out. Amenities include a cloakroom, baggage storage service, safe, currency exchange service and cash machine. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The hotel has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. The hotel has wheelchair-accessible facilities. There are a number of shops as well. Additional amenities include a newspaper stand, a TV room and a playroom. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage (for a fee) or in the car park (for a fee). Rooms

Air conditioning and individually adjustable heating ensure that rooms maintain comfortable temperatures. All rooms are carpeted and have a double bed, a queen-size bed, a king-size bed or a sofa bed. Extra beds can be requested. A safe, a minibar and a desk are also available. Additional features include a mini fridge and a tea/coffee station. An ironing set is provided for guests' convenience. A direct dial telephone, a television with satellite/cable channels, a radio, an alarm clock and WiFi are provided as well. A hairdryer and bathrobes are available in the bathrooms, which are equipped with a shower and a bathtub. For extra comfort in the bathrooms, guests are offered cosmetic products. Wheelchair-friendly rooms can be booked. Family rooms are available for parents with children.

The hot tub in the pool area promises pure relaxation. There are many ways to relax or stay active at the hotel, including a gym, a spa, a beauty salon and massage treatments.

Meals

The dining area includes a restaurant and a bar. A delicious breakfast is an excellent reason to rise and shine. At lunch and dinner, guests can order dishes à la carte or choose a set menu. The hotel offers a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

    Visible Mold, Broken Wi-Fi, Electrical Issues, and Poor Management Follow-Up

    I am giving 1 star for one reason only: the housekeeping staff and general team were incredibly nice, hard-working, and welcoming. They deserve praise. However, the physical condition of the hotel and the way our complaint was handled by management were extremely disappointing.1. ROOM 1103: DELAYED CHECK-IN, NO WI-FI, AND SERIOUS ROOM ISSUESOur stay started badly. Although check-in was scheduled for 3:00 PM, our room was not ready on time. When we were finally given Room 1103, the condition of the room was shocking: water-damaged and swollen furniture, visible mold, a loud and worn-down AC unit, and a stained headboard with unknown marks. The Wi-Fi was also completely non-functional during our stay in that room.The first night seemed manageable, but on the second night, at around 2:00 AM, the lights started flickering violently and repeatedly. This happened on the morning of my birthday, while I was already dealing with severe jet lag. Instead of sleeping, we spent hours trying to deal with the room’s electrical and lighting problems.2. FRONT DESK PROMISES AND A ROOM MOVE THAT DID NOT SOLVE THE PROBLEMWhen we reported the electrical issue and the broken Wi-Fi to the front desk, we were told that the hotel was already aware of the lighting problem. We were also explicitly told that the resort fees related to the first room would be refunded because of the inconvenience and the non-working Wi-Fi.We were then moved to another room. Unfortunately, the move did not solve the core problem. The second room did not have the same swollen furniture or flickering lights, but it still felt dirty and had visible mold. We also found mold inside a picture frame on the wall next to the bed, which is completely unacceptable in any hotel room.3. ROOFTOP BAR ISSUEThe Rooftop Bar is advertised in a way that makes it feel like a hotel amenity, but our experience was very different. We wanted to go up on our first day to enjoy the skyline view and have coffee, but we realized guests cannot simply access it. Later, we planned to celebrate my birthday there and found out it is operated separately, requires an external reservation, and may involve a cancellation or deposit fee if the reservation is missed. This was very disappointing and felt misleading from a guest perspective.4. MANAGEMENT HANDLING AND REFUND DISPUTEBecause both rooms had serious issues, including visible mold and unacceptable room conditions, we requested a refund. After our discussion with management, we were later assured by email that the refund request had been submitted in the system and that the matter was essentially only a formality awaiting final processing.Based on that communication, we believed the issue was being handled and that we only needed to wait for the refund to be completed. Unfortunately, after we checked out, the situation changed completely. Instead of receiving a clear resolution, we were met with silence, delays, and references to third-party booking procedures.From our perspective, it now feels as if those assurances were only given to get us to leave the property calmly, with no real intention of following through afterward. As international guests, we felt misled and left without proper accountability.Photos of the mold and room condition are attached. Again, respect to the housekeeping staff and the general team, who were kind and welcoming. But based on the condition of the rooms and the way management handled the complaint, I cannot recommend staying at this hotel.     An expensive disappointment

    We stayed at this property when it was a Kimpton hotel and enjoyed it. This stay was completely unsatisfactory. We booked a suite, an expensive room, to celebrate my birthday. On a first night, we attempted to shower and had no hot water. We reported it to the front desk and were told that that’s just the way it is on the 17th floor. Just let the water run for 20 - 30 minutes. That turned out to be correct, but hardly acceptable - and a complete waste of water.On the first night, we also discovered that the mechanical equipment above our room was loud and relentless. Again, this is completely inconsistent with a premium room. On our final morning, we awoke to shouting and electric tool noise. We looked out and there’s a scaffold with workers just above and to the left of our room. The view from our room was fantastic. But it hardly matters if you can’t get a good night’s sleep. On the plus side, we had breakfast and separately, a cocktail in the lobby restaurant (which I believe is not affiliated with the hotel). Both experiences were great. Excellent food and great service. We provided feedback to the front desk - they just shrugged. We wrote tohotel management and also did the survey that was sent by email. No reply. We were extremely disappointed, would not stay here again, and would not recommend.     Terrible location, terrible rooms and not a 4 star hotel.

    We checked in on Thursday and are scheduled to stay until Monday. It's about to be midnight on Sunday and we still have no internet. Have not had Internet the entirety of our stay. Yet somehow the hotel managed to charge our credit card the "amenities" fee that includes the internet. How that is possible, who knows. The AC is garbage and is set to know be on for more than 5-10 minutes and will not go below 70 degrees. It appears set that way on purpose due to either the cheap nature of management or ownership I don't know which. The rooms are outdated bordering shabby. The hotel sits next to an event space that blasts music from 10pm-2am so you cannot sleep. We tried, even with noise cancelling earbuds. The only good things about this place are th staff, which are all really nice and professional people who are lovely. And the restaurant/bar on the ground floor. Good food and great bartender.     Nice place and friendly staff but we're in hour 48 of zero WiFi and the only response is "they're working on it." Absolutely preposterous. Is this place running on a dial-up connection? The Ink 48 Hotel -- stepping back into 1992 one day at a time. Beyond frustrating.     Great place for cruising!

    We booked this hotel so we could spend a couple of days in New York before boarding our cruise. We arrived before check-in and were able to leave our luggage and begin exploring the city. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. When it was time to check in, James let us know he had upgraded us. The room was large, clean, and perfect. We enjoyed our stay very much and would stay here again. The location to the cruise terminal was amazing.
