    The rooms are spacious but definitely need updating. Both the room & bathroom felt very tired . Can’t beat a one block walk to the town and to the LIRR train to Manhattan.     During my stay, an open tab was placed on my card, resulting in several pending transactions. When I checked out, I settled my final bill in full and was clearly informed by your staff that the pending transactions were only pre-authorisations and would not be taken, and that they would be released back to my account.Despite this assurance, several of these pending amounts have now been fully deducted from my account, totalling several hundred pounds. This is completely unacceptable and has caused significant inconvenience. I have already had to spend time chasing this matter, and as of today, the funds have still not been credited back. Guest Relations, Owner at Inn at Great Neck, responded to this review Maya, thank you for taking the time to share your concerns. We understand how stressful unexpected travel disruptions and financial uncertainties can be, and we’re sorry for the frustration this situation caused.During your extended stay due to airline delays, our team worked closely with both you and the airline to assist with accommodations and to minimize inconvenience. Any temporary authorizations placed on your card were clearly explained at the time and are standard practice while awaiting third-party confirmation. Once airline payment was finalized, all related holds were released from our end.At checkout, the only charges that remained were valid restaurant expenses, which were posted correctly to your folio, with additional courtesy adjustments applied. As explained in our follow-up correspondence, the timing of released authorizations is ultimately determined by individual banking institutions, and delays can occur even after we have fully cleared them.We appreciate your continued communication and hope the clarification provided helps resolve the matter fully. Our intention throughout was to support you during a difficult travel situation, and we regret that the banking process added further stress.

    Old and tired, but a great Sushi bar.

    We came to the Inn at great neck in November for a few nights. We were attending a wedding in the neighborhood. The Decor is a bit dated, but all in all OK. The rooms were clean and comfortable. You have to take it for what it is, a hotel that’s been around for a long time. some front desk staff were very rude but the Valet and Bellmen were terrific. It seemed odd that there would be a sushi restaurant in the lobby, but I have to say the sushi was excellent!     Love in an elevator

    mostly salons and variety foods in this area. Bravo Pizza across the street was pretty good but a large pizza with 2 toppings $37..the room.. sheets had a big stain on them front and center. train goes by all night right outside the window. heat was way too hot with no way to adjust it. We set to a/c then were comfortable. We elevator got stuck twice, one time with ten people on board. pushed alarms with no response. door finally opened on its own after a few minutes of panic. stairs did not lead to lobby. lights were off in the stairwell..exits into garage. Cars are valet only. Anyway, we slept fairly good despite the issues. Breakfast was decent. Potatoes and bacon were crispy, eggs weren’t dry. The staff was friendly.
