  This is a dump and a potential death trap. My husband and I booked for 3 nights. We were given 514 the first nite and he has mobility issues. There is one elevator and it was repaired and closed 3 times in 3 days. After the first incident when we had to climb down 5 flights we requested a change to the first floor. It took a long time but we moved ourselves down to 114 where the so-called breakfast room is also located. We asked for a wakeup call as this room was missing a clock radio. No call came. They were busy fixing the elevator.

  Hotel was booked for room only whilst visiting family in the local area.Initial feeling of the reception area was that it looked more like a commercial warehouse than a hotel.However, the room on the top floor, reached by a very slow lift, was clean with lots of storage space. The large bed did not take the space out of the room with enough gap to move around the room. Bed was very comfortable. Walls were a little thin as I could hear the conversation in the next room. Thankfully at the time we were staying there was no excess noise from other rooms.Wardrobe door was hanging off its hinges and needed effort to close it properly every time it was used, otherwise it swung open. It was needed to be shut otherwise the bathroom door would not open.Bathroom was clean and functional, apart from initially no shower gel, but this was resolved when reported to reception.Cannot comment on the breakfast as this was not taken up by us.This stay worked for us as a bed only place.

  We got what we came for

  Decent hotel for what we needed. A clean room and comfortable bed 5 minute walk from our son and girlfriend’s apartment. It was clean. The lobby could use a little sprucing up but we spent less than a minute there as we checked in and out. Walls are thin. Could hear our neighbor sneezing like they were in our bathroom with the door shut. Turned on white noise on my phone and it was all fine. Super close to our son and price was what you’d expect for the holidays in Brooklyn.

  Great, clean hotel with a surprise view of the Manhattan skyline from our 3rd floor room. It’s a very efficient room, but it’s a very CLEAN room; the bed was comfortable too! The bag drop off options for early arrivals was really convenient. Small cabinet closet, and few outlets so we had to use the bathroom to charge devices. Breakfast downstairs was cramped, but the REAL bagels was a treat, so you understand why the room is full. We picked this hotel due to subway location (two blocks over), and super pleased with our stay, plus the staff were friendly. Others have mentioned street noise, but between 9pm and 7am it’s very minimal; nothing was a standout issue. We would absolutely stay again.

  Clean, good/safe location, nice staff.More chairs for breakfast area are really needed. Breakfast is diverse.Good choice to enjoy The City without breaking the bank.
