  Excellent Location, Great Sleep, and Outstanding Value in New York

  The hotel had a perfect location: the subway was only a two-minute walk away, shops were everywhere nearby, yet the hotel itself was situated on a quiet street. Queens is also a fantastic area to stay in, as you can reach Manhattan and other parts of New York very quickly.The beds were comfortable, everything was clean, and the atmosphere was peaceful. The air conditioning worked perfectly, and I slept extremely well throughout my stay.The front desk staff were very friendly and always willing to help and offer advice whenever needed.I would also like to highlight the breakfast. This was my third visit to New York (staying in different areas each time), and in every previous hotel I struggled to find a place to sit during breakfast. It was therefore a pleasant surprise to enjoy breakfast here in a relaxed and comfortable environment without any issues.The hotel was also reasonably priced, making it excellent value for money.I highly recommend it.

  We stayed at the LIC Hotel and had a very pleasant experience. The location offers excellent value for money compared to hotels in Manhattan, while still being very well connected. Long Island City is a great alternative if you want to stay close to Manhattan without paying Manhattan prices.The Court Street subway station is just a 3-minute walk away. With the E line we could reach JFK quickly and with the E and F lines we were in Midtown Manhattan in no time.The staff gave us a warm and friendly welcome and were always helpful. Our room was simple but cozy, clean, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.Breakfast was better than expected, with several items freshly prepared, such as eggs, and good-quality products like Tropicana orange juice.Overall, a very good choice if you are looking for comfort, convenience and great value for money when visiting New York City.

  Safe and super close to a subway. Cheaper than staying central.

  We chose this site as it saved us so much money rather than staying in Manhattan etc. The court square subway is a 3 mins walk. We used this everyday to get around. It’s a safe area though we didn’t go out at night. There’s a supermarket across the street from the subway entry. Plus other supermarkets within walking distance. The room we had was super clean. It has a fridge and a safe. The staff were friendly. The breakfast had enough choice to suit most. Having a microwave in the reception area was a bonus so you could heat meals. There is also a laundry. Fantastic views of NYC from the roof both in the day and night. New York is super expensive so this was a great option.

  UNSAFE HOTEL-Avoid at all costs

  If I could give zero stars, I would.During my husband's stay on July 17, 2025, he suffered a dangerous fall in his hotel room due to extreme condensation caused by a standard 20-minute shower. With the bathroom fan running and door slightly ajar, the entire room — floors, walls, furniture, and electronics — was drenched in moisture. The floor became so slick that my husband slipped and fell on his back.To make matters worse, his MacBook Pro — which was open and operating at the time — was ruined by the water damage, rendering it completely inoperable.When we reported this incident at the front desk and directly to management, the response was appalling. Staff openly acknowledged that this level of condensation is “known to occur in guest rooms” and that floors can become dangerously slippery. Their “solution”? Guests should supposedly open windows, crank up the AC, or limit showers to five minutes — none of which is written anywhere in hotel policies or guest instructions.Despite acknowledging the issue, management refused to accept responsibility for either my husband’s injuries or the destruction of his property.We followed up in writing — twice — with detailed documentation and even set a clear deadline for response. The hotel has not had the decency to reply. Complete silence.This hotel not only provides unsafe accommodations but also displays a shocking lack of accountability and basic professionalism. Guests should not have to risk injury or property damage from something as routine as taking a shower. The disregard shown by LIC Hotel is unacceptable, and I strongly urge anyone considering this hotel to stay elsewhere.
