    Probably the worst Marriott you could possibly stay at. Really no redeeming qualities for this hotel.     Solid hotel right next to airport

    Generic airport hotel. Frequented by airline crew. Reception checkin was cordial and efficient. Rooms were clean and quiet. Big plus is the proximity to the airport terminal. If you have an early morning flight this hotel is well located.     Great Airport but Roadways a Mess

    We left and arrived from Terminal C on our vacation. The terminal was well maintained and organized but the road getting from the parking area was full of potholes and poorly maintained roads. No good for traveling 🧳.

    This Marriott Makes Newark Look Awesome!

    OK. I get it. Newark Airport doesn't have the best reputation in the world. It is sprawling, chaotic, doesn't have a great record of on-time performance--and is expensive even by most big city standards. But don't let that stop you from booking a room at the Newark International Airport Marriott. I stayed there twice on my way to and from Chile--and it was a delight. I hope I got her name right because Wafaa at the reception desk definitely deserves a shout out. She found me a fabulous room overlooking the airport and her kindness was so appreciated. And who wouldn't love the free shuttle that gets you to and from the airport in a matter of minutes. Even though the hotel is right next to the airport, having the shuttle available was worth every penny of the stay. And a shout out also to the kitchen staff/chef/servers/bartenders at the Aviation Grill. Seriously good food and drinks for breakfast, lunch and dinner. My usual go-to airport Marriott is in Chicago near Ohare but I gotta say, this one makes me think flying through Newark might be worth considering next time I go abroad.     Avoid if possible. We traveled from Europe so couldn’t avoid b/c it’s the only airport hotel on site. Property is quite dingy throughout. The feel of NY/NJ road grime is present throughout. I did not want to touch the drapes, bedspread or carpet with bare skin. The room was advertised with a mini fridge, something important to me b/c I travel with medication that requires refrigeration. No mini fridge present. I mention this b/c it exemplifies that 1 false advertisement may become an axiom of more, and this is the case here. It took 15 minutes in line to check in. No online opportunity existed for a mobile key. I am a gold elite Marriott member and know how to work the hotel system but at this property, there was no way to avoid lines, despite having been traveling for 22 hours without sleep. In summary, this property is to be avoided, otherwise, lower expectations are advised.
