    Great for a quick stay

    This hotel was a great place to rest our heads after a concert that we drove several hours to see. Was it luxurious? No. It met our needs of a place to stay and would accept our puppy without an extra fee and the parking was also free. It was conveniently located near highways so we could pack up early and be on our way home without much fuss. The staff was friendly and even offered to put us in the back far away from most of the other guests since the puppy was noisy.     Went on a mini-getaway to American Dream with my family and decided to stay the night. Unfortunately, we stayed at the Red Roof Plus+ which was a total disappointment for the amount paid (over $240). The place was dirty and outdated. It needs a complete renovation! Our room had a weird smell and the wall/door in the bathroom was stained. I hope it was not feces. The sink was backed up. It was disgusting to brush our teeth there. Also the linens where not fresh. My children refused to go under the covers. Funny thing is that we decided to stay an extra night and stayed at another hotel which was cheaper ($222) and A LOT nicer. If you're in need of a hotel DO NOT STAY HERE unless it is your last resort. To make matters worse they take a $50 deposit which they refund once they check the room and verify it's in good condition...IRONIC since the room is not in good condition to begin with. My card reflected a charge of $53.21 meaning they are keeping the $3.21. What is the reasoning for that, and why not inform the patron about the additional charge?

    I've stayed at Red Roof Inns in various states and have been very pleased. Unfortunately, I cannot say that this stay was nice. I had to kill 2 cockroaches in room 139 before we left for the concert we were attending at the MetLife stadium that evening. Also, on this particular side of the hotel, it was terribly noisy all night long. There is a bridge (Route 3) right next to the hotel and you can hear traffic all night long. It may be because the door had visible "day light" at the lower part of the door. Also, at 5 AM there was either a trash truck or a bus backing up and the "beeping" was loud and clear. I will say that the grounds in the back of the hotel next to the Hackensack River were nicely kept. I'm sorry I didn't alert the front desk about the roaches, but it was raining very hard and I didn't feel like going out in the rain again. I'm sure they would have moved us to another room, but we didn't feel like moving. Please consider more frequent extermination of the bugs. Thank you.     The hotel didn’t refund the security deposit

    The hotel didn’t refund the security depositWe stayed at the Red Roof NY hotel with a couple of friends and during the check in, we were asked for our credit card for a security deposit. We stayed in two different rooms. My husband used his credit card for both room deposit (he used two times - one for us and other for our friends). Both security deposit were in my card with last numbers 8780.The hotel refund just one deposit, the other deposit still in my card. The deposit is still on my credit card and has not been refunded as agreed. Attached the image of my credit card!     Not Refund the security deposit!

    I have tried to contact you several times and i dont have a solution!During my check-in Red Roof PLUS+ Secaucus - Meadowlands - NYC, the hotel charged the security deposit twice on my credit card, for my reservation and my friend's. The problem that i only received one (1) of the refunds, i need 2!!!
