    Huge scam, false advertising, RUN AWAY!

    I STARTED my booking with the dates and was shown a fare of 130. I booked. The booking confirmation looked good, with a link saying 'show reservation,' but I had no reason to think it was different than what I was shown upon making the reservation. Part of my reasons for choosing were price, advertised free parking, and a rating of over 7/10. Upon checking in I was told parking is only first come first served, but I could pay to park in the dodgy gas station across the road. When I finished paying I looked at the bill and the total was 294.00. Only 50 of that was taxes, so it was more than 100 over the advertised rate!!! The clerk said it was only an advertised rate for special days. So why was that the price I was shown when I only searched for a specific day? I will tell you why. SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM. Dishonest, inhuman, BAD BAD business! And the room was so rank with cigarette smell my daughter and I were sick from it all night. And the beds, while the covers look decent in the photos, were like planks with holes. Run away before you even look. Book a more expensive hotel you feel safe is NOT a sleazy scamming operation. I feel sick knowing these a-holes have my money.

    Our room reeked of cigarette smoke, but the front desk personnel could not accommodate a change ("fully booked" and "rooms not ready"). Then our room was not cleaned during our stay of 3 nights - and no, we did not have a Do Not Disturb sign hanging out the door. Finally, a request for additional hangers was a farce with several staff without a common language.

    The front desk staffs exceeded our expectations. We asked for early checkin and our room was ready at 12noon as promised. We also had to checkout early due to change of plans and they were able to process our refund right away. The hotel is walking distance to Fordham University or you can take the bus. The room is clean.The room is small and furnitures and carpets are dated. It does not come with breakfast as mentioned when I booked online. The hallway smells like smoke too.

    The air conditioner had mold spores, the boxspring had dried throw-up on it, roaches galor and you could get a free high by walking in the hallways. It smells like a "weed house". Don't bring your children! Management is horrible!

    Don’t let the mixed reviews scare you away!

    For a one night stay and good location it was all we needed! Hallway was loud (stair doors opening and closing) and the hallway had a weed smell at times but hey it’s NY. Room was small BUT no need for bigger. Parking is tricky but it worked out! The breakfast provided was impressive. All staff were helpful! They offer the basics here which is all we needed, I found it 100% clean! We would stay here again if needed!
