    Absolute Worst Experience Ever

    I had booked two rooms for October 1 2023, in March 2023 as my family and I would be in New York for vacation and needed a hotel near JFK the night before we flew home. Everything was confirmed and I even received an email on Sept 25 stating that they were looking forward to my stay on Oct 1. When we arrived on Oct 1 we were informed that the Hotel was no longer a hotel and that it was a shelter. The manager then came out and told us he was cancelling our reservation and there was nothing he could do to help us. They said that the Hotel had been turned into a shelter months ago and my reservation must have been missed. The manager then refunded our reservation. We were then stranded with nowhere to go and while we were on our phones looking for a new hotel the security guard came up to us and said we were loitering and kicked us off the property. When I contacted Choice Hotels to complain they didn't seem to care that we were treated so badly and offered basically $80 worth of points. I will likely never stay at a Choice Hotel branded hotel ever again and will inform everyone I know to not stay either.

    The rooms are so small that the beds take up 90% of the room and you have to squeeze your way through to get to the toilet. There is no internet, or at least it wasn't working when I was there which was August 2022. Also the toilet clogged up after being used just two times. And they don't have a shuttle service so you have to pay for an uber so include that price in the cost of the stay.

    So there was no shuttle and I had to take a taxi. The location of this was a bit awkward that even the taxi driver was confused. It was however close to a burger king and seven eleven so that was convenient. The entry way was dark and a bit dreary. The receptionists were kind. The room was extremely small but after a 14 hour flight, I just needed somewhere to rest my head. So it was comfortable for that purpose.

    It is close to the airport around 15-20 min drive (taxi $20-$25), hotel provide free shuttle. Near JFK the only one that seemed a reasonable price for overnight stay. Room was nice with big TV, safe, refrigerator, also provide phone for local calls. For food there is burger king and seven eleven, moreover they also provide menus for restaurants (deliver at room). Overall I got every thing of good quality services (free wifi, free shuttle, housekeeping services) at affordable price.

    Have good location, its near to JFK, Burger King and 7 eleven. Moreover, the train station and bus stop are close enough to visit anywhere. Rooms were nice and clean. The staff members were very nice and friendly. They also provide free shuttle from JFK airport to hotel and hotel to JFK airport terminal. I got everything with good price. I like to again.
