The hotel is conveniently located in Midtown Manhattan on 55th Street between 5th and 6th Avenues, within walking distance of many of Manhattan's most important business addresses, the finest 5th Avenue shopping, Central Park, Rockefeller Center, the MOMA, Broadway theatres and Carnegie Hall. There are numerous restaurants, bars and shops nearby. There are links to the public transport network a short walk from the hotel and Penn Station is about 13 minutes away on public transport. Nearby airports include La Guardia (about 13 km), Newark (25 km) and JFK (29 km).

Facility

177 non-smoking rooms are located on 11 storeys and can be reached by lift. English- and French-speaking staff at the reception desk in the lobby are ready to assist you with check-in and check-out. Amenities include a baggage storage service, safe, cash machine and drinks machine. Wireless internet access is provided in public areas. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions.     There is nothing about this place that doesn't need fixing - every surface is stained, peeling, corroded or worn out. I had to wait at the check-in for 15 minutes because no one was there at 8 p.m...

    Enjoyed my stay here because Abel at the front desk was so helpful and accommodating. I needed a room with a tub as well as help with a few other items to make my stay comfortable.
