    A Wedding Venue. Oh, and they rent rooms.

    This a wedding venue. But they also rent rooms. It’s too bad they are not capitalizing on the local history after the mini-series TURN!You get the feeling that they are not focused on the hotel guests. No check in instructions and you need to figure out things on your own. Fine. There are restaurant discounts in town if you mention you are staying at the hotel.But be prepared for the noise if there is a large wedding! The wedding parties don’t care that people are trying to sleep! They have been drinking and are extremely loud! It’s too bad because it’s a cool place, with maybe some history they don’t care to share. But it was close to Oyster Bay, and it was convenient.

The room featured excellent sound insulation, ensuring zero disruptions from hallway foot traffic. Furthermore, the 4K projector delivered a crisp, high-contrast image that remained perfectly legible even in the bright natural light. The facilities overall were neat and clean.Support: The in-house AV technicians were outstanding, staying one step ahead of our needs and ensuring every presentation launched without a hitch.Catering: Our attendees were impressed by the high quality of the food. Fresh snacks and drinks were restocked promptly throughout the day, and the kitchen was incredibly accommodating with last-minute dietary restrictions.Service: From the initial planning stages to the day-of execution, the events team was professional, attentive, and flexible.I would highly recommend this venue for any professional organization looking for a distraction-free environment that allows you to focus entirely on your content rather than logistics.

    DISAPPOINTING:Rooms was stark, bare floors (no rugs), dirty window, only a single desk chair, no charging outlets, no towel bars etc. in bathroom, only one overhead light at sink so face was almost totally in shadows. Certainly not at all worth the $299/night. Would never choose to stay there again.

    Amazing space for Corporate Retreat

    Great venue for a corporate retreat. Food was amazing, and staff really went out of their way to make sure the group was very well taken care of. Recommend this to anyone with an event to host. Felt like we had the mansion to ourselves even though there were other guests outside our party there. The speakeasy pub was a surprisingly large space for evening events. The venue was exactly what we needed. Thanks to Helen and the staff for making our stay amazing!

    A Lovely Event Location but Not for Those Looking for Peace & Quiet

    I was traveling on the Gold Coast exploring Gilded Age Mansions and was delighted to learn the Mansion at Glen Cove, a Gilded Age mansion, was available for lodging, it has been transformed into a hotel/confeernce center. The Mansion itself is lovely; many original details still exist, such as the study, center hall, and various rooms on the first floor. The morning breakfast room is charming. Each morning there is a very nice and quite sufficient breakfast buffet which is appreciated since the Mansion is in a residential area with no immediate access to restaurants or coffee shops. The accommodations were satisfactory, not luxurious, similar to a Holiday Inn. The problem I encountered was that the Mansion is an event venue and a wedding party essentially took over the entire hotel while I was a guest (Sunday-Monday). As a female solo traveler, it was difficult to find parking since there is no preference for guests of the hotel. I had to walk quite a distance in the dark with luggage while valet attended to wedding guests. Additionally, it was impossible to walk around the Mansion in the evening since the wedding guests essentially consumed the entire property. Partying is a given for a wedding, however, much of the partying took place in the middle of the night in the corridor in which I was staying...it was a challenge to sleep with all of the noise.
