    Room with a (non)view and rude front desk staff

    Got a room on 2nd floor where the view out the window was straight into a concrete wall 5 feet from the window, with a corridor right outside the window where a person could walk and look right into the room. Very scary!When I asked to be moved to another room front desk was super rude and did not want to either help me, compensate me or do anything to remedy the situation.Other than this the room was worn down, dirty and filthy and the included breakfast buffet a total joke. Dry, chewy bred, total lack of cold cuts or vegetables (or anything other than the color brown).Stay away!

    My husband and I stayed here after winning a free night stay. The front desk was very friendly and helpful, the hotel was very clean and location was great. Lots of restaurants, shops and nightlife. We had a wonderful overall experience and would go back.

    The location is great - right across the street from Chelsea Market. The atmosphere is very relaxed. Rooms are cozy - expected for NYC, but very stocked with whatever you could need. NYC is pricey no matter how you look at it, so I think this is fairly priced considering the great location and 3 minute walk to the closet subway station. The room was spotless. Noise level from the street wasn't bad at all - we were on the 8th floor and on a rainy weekend, so it was actually pretty quiet. Desk staff were helpful! Continental breakfast was your average cold items but certainly enough to fill up on if you so choose. We would stay here again solely based on the location, noise level, and overall chill vibes.

    A luxury "yacht" in the Meat Packing District

    This is a beautiful hotel in the perfect location. It has the luxury feel that nice hotels used to have and the little touches that make for a much more pleasant stay. The beautiful rooms are NOT dominated by a giant TV screen that I will never watch. And the windows open (having lived in Manhattan for many years, the sounds of the city can be charming).
