    DON’T STAY HERE!

    rating17 May 2026

My fiancé and I stayed at The One Boutique Hotel in Flushing after attending a rooftop birthday party at the property. The event space was fine and the party was enjoyable, but the hotel stay itself was terrible. We only booked the room because we didn’t want to drive back to New Jersey after partying until 2 AM. We had already seen reviews mentioning shabby rooms and poor customer service, so expectations were low — but this was far worse than expected. At approximately 7:20 AM, we were abruptly awakened by loud chaos outside our room. A man was yelling on speakerphone about being locked out, followed by hotel staff pounding on doors, aggressively jiggling handles, talking loudly, and eventually drilling into a room for HOURS. The noise was so excessive that the walls and glass in our room were vibrating.By 10:20 AM, after nearly three hours of nonstop disturbance, I called the front desk. The employee casually informed me the man had been locked out since 2 AM. Even more concerning, the guest later told my fiancé he had been living there for SIX MONTHS. Clearly, this hotel has operational issues involving long-term occupants mixed with transient guests. No apology was ever offered. Staff acted completely unconcerned. The room itself was run-down with chipped paint and only half the bathroom lights working, forcing me to get ready in near darkness. Yet they still had no problem placing a $100 incidental hold on my card while we were the ones inconvenienced! I would never stay here again. They should reimburse every guest on the seventh floor that stayed that night (morning of 5/17/26), at least half of their expenses!

    The facade

    rating20 Dec 2025

If anyone gives more than a 1 star it's because the front desk has a sign that slides to $10 prize for 10 star rating. This place is a grand illusion. The public decor is modern and pretty. The building front, reception area and hallways. Inside is rotting. It started off with the elevator. There is only one for public use, to the guestrooms. Very dangerous when, literally you don't have any other means to leave your floor unless you use the emergency exit, that states the alarm will sound if opened. It doesn't (will get back to that later). As soon as the elevator door opens, you see fluid stains and a stench of urine. The front desk does not care. Then you get to your room and although the key card works, the door doesn't open. You have to punch it in a couple of more time and literally jump push the handle before the door opens. The room is tiny, but well laid out. The heating unit sounds like a helicopter, thank goodness it doesn't stay on for long. The room is not particulary clean but gratefully not extremely grungy, considering the state of the elevator. The amenities, what they're is of it, is the cheapest you could expect. Probability same quality as the you would find in a rundown motel in the middle of the desert. They offer no complementary water but you can get it from the vending machine. They do offer coffee from a cheap coffee maker, in the lobby but it's so old and of poor quality, it tastes like burnt tires. They try to save electricity, I assume, so the coffee is cold. If you want hot coffee, pop it into the communal microwave, none in the room. The tiny mini fridge barely gave off and coldness. The theme is "cheap". There is a bar and lounge open to the public, on the roof. So there are drunk people sloshing around and pushing you out of the way, stumbling from the elevator. The rooftop bar has music so loud and base thumping that the ceiling jumps and vibrates, into the early morning. The walls are so thin, you can hear everything from your neighbors TV.OH, and let's not forget the broken elevator, yeah, that one available elevator. Had to run out to move the car by 7am, but no elevator. Had to call the front k by cell phone because the one in the room is a just a part of the decor, like the lamps. We're told they know but the owner was in the way. In the meantime, walk up to the 8th fl then take the other elevator down. WHAT? There was another elevator? But wait, what about the alarm when the emergency door to the stairs, was opened. Surprise! No alarm! There was so much that was wrong with this place, I couldn't write it all down.

    Modern design hotel

    rating11 Dec 2025

Excellent modern hotel, not exactly in the center, excellent paid parking, good breakfasts, not enough choice for dinner and not enough staff, and desserts were already gone by 8 pm. Rooms are large enough, large shopping center next door

Great size room and you definitely get what you pay for. Police station on the same street as the property, giving you an extra send of security. No music but the smiles at the front desk was music to my ears.

    House keeping super stars

We’ve been staying here for almost a month, and I want to give special thanks to the housekeeping team—especially Mr. Rana and Kashif. Their service has been absolutely amazing. Both of them are incredibly helpful, attentive, and professional. They’ve really made our stay more comfortable and pleasant. We truly appreciate their hard work and dedication!
