Going to Niagara Falls NY, you’re going to want to stay here!

    rating26 May 2026

My husband and I stayed at the Giacomo, booked thru VRBO, room 1310 and it couldn't have been better! I think we had the best view in the entire town of Niagara! The communication from booking, to check-in, and then check-out was superb. The art deco style hotel was super charming and the condo itself felt like it took us back in time. From the second we walked in to it, to see the giant size of this condo, then the magnificent panoramic views of Niagara, then right down the to the beautiful jazz music playing was a perfect start of a fabulous weekend. We immediately said we are not changing the channel of that station; we stayed in the vibe the whole time we were there. Being right across the street from the Niagara State Park, walking distance to the falls, was perfect. I could walk that park every day. Seeing the fireworks from our room was a huge plus! The quaint bar downstairs was a bonus, super friendly bartenders, and again, great vibe. I would highly recommend staying here! Beautiful, old boutique hotel

    rating24 May 2026

Beautiful, old, boutique hotel in Niagara Falls, NY. Lovely, cozy lounge bar to get a drink. Ask the front desk how to get to the viewing lounge on the 19th floor after you get your drink. They light up the falls at night and starting mid-May they do fireworks nightly at 8PM. Good normal breakfast until 10AM. Beautiful large rooms with double-long desk with chair, black-out curtains, old, boutique feel. Nice welcome letter in room upon arrival. Great make-up wipes in the big bathroom. Very quiet. It is an older hotel and could use a few updates like carpet and cleaning the windows in the lounge on the 19th floor, but I liked the feel it had of being an older, cozy hotel. When you arrive, bring your ID in with you first to get a parking spot number! You park across the quiet street in a gated lot. Walked to the falls and the tourist info. center is just down the block. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely return! Definitely not a luxury hotel

    rating23 May 2026

The hotel website states: The Premiere Luxury Boutique hotel and it is not that.Maybe it was true in the 1950s but not today. It is tired, old, and dated. While the front desk staff was nice, I experienced many snafus during my stay. But let's talk about what happened before my stay. I emailed weeks ahead of time asking for transportation options and also to ask if my separate reservations could be combined. All emails went unanswered. All other hotels I've stayed at would have at least answered my email. That should have been a red flag. Now on to my stay. On the day of check-in, I asked for my separate reservations to be combined so I could remain in the same room and not move. I was told that wasn't possible. Ok fine. I go upstairs to my assigned room. The keys don't work. My husband goes downstairs to let the front desk know. They re-keyed it, and again it doesn't work. I go downstairs again and same problem, it doesn't work. I go downstairs a second time and I ask the front desk staffer to come with me... She does and she can't get the key to work.So she moves me to the room that I would have stayed in the next day, and was told initially wasn't available that night. The second day, after returning from a day of sightseeing, the key doesn't work. Had to get it re-keyed. And again on the third day after the keys had been re-keyed. Service issues aside, the entire hotel needs updating. The elevators squeak, the carpet is worn and has multiple stains, the wallpaper is tearing and peeled in several places, the water pressure in the bathroom was like a trickle. I really wanted to like this hotel but until they do a major overhaul, I would stay away and spend your $ elsewhere. Lenny Bevilacqua, General Manager at The Giacomo, An Ascend Collection Hotel, responded to this review Thank you Ruth for your detailed response. I apologize for not meeting your expectations during your stay. We take pride in providing excellence in both customer service and cleanliness and I am sorry you did not experience that. Please safe travels to you and again thank you for your detailed feedback.

    Great hotel

    rating22 May 2026

It's a really old building with lots of original features. It looks a bit tired inside and could do with deep cleaning in areas. The room was large and clean with everything needed.Breakfasts are plentiful with decent choices. What makes this hotel special? The staff, they are ten out of ten and absolutely wonderful Lenny Bevilacqua, General Manager at The Giacomo, An Ascend Collection Hotel, responded to this review Thank you so much for your response. You want to stay here.

    rating13 May 2026

This is most definitely the best place to stay in Niagara. It is absolutely gorgeous. I especially want to mention Quatina (? I hope I spelled it right) and Alisha. Kevin the bartender is a hoot too. I had the cheapest room, and I felt it was very nice for the price. The bar is on the 1st floor, the workout room is in the basement, and kind of icky. But because everything else is absolutely wonderful, I did not knock off a star. The sky view “lounge” is more like a party room, but it does have great views, and yes you have to take stairs, but the stairs are cool too. They have a different back view of the Mayan Revival sculptures at the top of the hotel. And the windows in the room open. Maybe because it is an older building. You can easily walk to Maid of the Mist, and catch the trolley from there to get around the park easily. The hotel has beautiful decor, wrought iron and marble. Breakfast was good, with many choices. I have to say that this hotel is tied with the Drury Inn in New Orleans as my favorite hotel. Lenny Bevilacqua, General Manager at The Giacomo, An Ascend Collection Hotel, responded to this review Thank you so much for your response. I am so glad you had a great time here. I am blessed to have a unreal staff and so glad you got to experience them and their greatness. I will be sure to share your feedback with everyone. Please safe travels to you and of course please come back anytime to The Giacomo Hotel Niagara Falls NY.
