Very good experience from beginning to end. Good reception, excellent room, suite style, extremely comfortable bed and excellent shower. Very good breakfast, including pancake machine. Everything is new, clean and modern. Complementary coffee and hot chocolate in reception. Straight forward checkout. Couldn’t ask for more (except for free parking).

An unauthorized person entered my room in the middle of my stay while I was getting ready. There was no knock or anything to indicate someone was even at the door. The door just flew open. There was no reason for a staff member to come to my room as I didn't ask for anything. I don't know if the front desk messed up and gave another guest a key to my room or what happened but that was very concerning. They issued 2 deposit holds on my card. One on the day of check in and one on the day I checked out. They said they accidently voided the 1st one but there was no reversal on my credit card, which caused other transactions I used my card for to not go thru. Not a pleasant experience. Good choice by Oakland Airport.

I stayed here because I had an early flight out of OAK. The staff and interior were excellent and consistent with the Holiday Inn Express brand. The hotel shuttle was very reliable and prompt. It coordinated with early flights at OAK, which is becoming very rare nationally. The surrounding area doesn't have a lot around within walking distance, but the entire area surrounding OAK needs some urban renewal. Hotel areas in this area can skyrocket, but this would be my first choice if I fly in/out of this airport again. Very close to airport and offers shuttle service. Paid parking $20. Attractive lobby with free breakfast. Large, very clean rooms. Comfortable bed. Restaurants several blocks away. Not an area to walk after dark. But, Uber Eats! Very good for an overnight stay with an early flight.
