A Very Comfortable Stay in Port Angeles

I was in Port Angeles for two nights to see a concert at the Field Center. The Red Lion looked a tad worn from the outside but my room (a standard) was large, absolutely quiet and very comfortable - especially the bed! Everything was clean & well furnished. I did not eat at the adjoining restaurant but did have a glass of wine at the bar - well priced and really lovely server. The two desk clerks I interacted with were professional, friendly and efficient. Possibly best of all - for my purposes at least - was its location in downtown Port Angeles. Immediately in back of the hotel was a pleasant sandy beach; ferries to nearby islands were steps away. In 5 - 10 minutes I could walk everywhere I wanted to go. Loved that and am going back! A decent yet overpriced stay next to Olympic NP

Another over-priced establishment in the Pacific North West... they really do take advantage of the lack of options in this part of the world. At least the Red Lion seems to be well-ran. It is a big hotel, reception was quite flawless. The room, while oddly sloped (seems to be on a big incline on the ground floor), was spacious enough, clean and suited our needs for a one-night stay before venturing into Olympic NP. It is nice located within walking distance of all the local restaurants and shops and has a pleasant promenade walk right in front of it. It features a swimming pool which, given the weather even at the peak of summer, nobody would dare use! A decent choice for those wanting a short drive to the National Park... but still overpriced! Nice stay in a cute little town

Stayed 2 nights in a water view balcony room. We loved it. Great location walking distance to restaurants, bars and shops. The onsite restaurant was great for breakfast before heading out for the day. The staff was very friendly. We would definitely stay here again. Perfect Base for Exploring the Olympic National Park!

We stayed at this hotel while visiting the Olympic Park, and absolutely loved it. We had rooms overlooking the lake, with stunning views. We enjoyed sitting, walking, running around the lake. The pier and wharf are a stone’s throw away from the hotel, with convenient options for meals. Our rooms (we had 2) were spacious and comfortable. The hotel does have a restaurant, but we did not get an opportunity to sample their fare. Would love to return to this property.
