    DO NOT STAY HERE.

    rating22 Jul 2025

This was by far the worst hotel experience I have ever had.Upon arrival, I discovered there was no elevator, so I had to lug my suitcase upstairs. While I managed, anyone with a disability would be forced to stay on the ground floor — which, according to reviews, tends to be noisier. When I entered the room, there was a very odd odor. I noticed mold all around the AC unit, which I suspect was the source of the smell. The bathroom was absolutely disgusting. The shower was stained and clearly not cleaned properly. The shower curtain was also filthy and completely useless — water ended up all over the floor anyway. The bathtub faucet was nearly detached from the wall, and the floor was covered with hair and other debris. The towels and washcloths provided were visibly dirty, so I went out and bought my own. I even had to use an extra hand towel that I keep in my car for emergencies as a bath mat, since the one in the room was unusable. The bedding wasn’t any better — the sheets were dirty and had hair on them, and the pillows were stained and rock solid.I was so grossed out that I went to a nearby store to buy cleaning supplies, room spray, and extra blankets just to make the space remotely bearable for my two-night stay. Even after thoroughly cleaning the room myself, it still felt dirty and uncomfortable. When I returned from the store, I found a fly in the room. I assumed it had come in while I was bringing in my things, so I took care of it and tried to relax. To avoid using the mattress directly, I laid down tapestries and a blanket from my car. I used one of the blankets I purchased on top of that and pulled it up toward the pillow area. For a pillow, I used a hoodie from my car, as the one provided was unusable.Somehow, I managed to fall asleep — until 3:00 a.m., when the hotel phone rang once. I didn’t answer, thinking it had to be a mistake. I fell back asleep, only to be woken again at 4:30 a.m. when the phone rang multiple times. I ended up unplugging it, but by then I couldn’t get back to sleep. In the morning, I started searching for another hotel, unsure I could handle another night. I called the front desk to complain, and they offered to show me another room. Before even leaving mine, I spotted yet another fly — despite never opening the door that morning — which just reinforced how unclean the room truly was. The second room I was shown was equally filthy.I checked out early and was told I could receive a refund for the second night if I called Choice Hotels, as the front desk couldn’t process it. When I called, I was told I wasn’t eligible for a refund because I had joined their rewards program to get a booking discount. If I had canceled for personal reasons, I would have understood — but I left due to the room’s unacceptable condition, and an exception should have been made. The customer service rep offered me loyalty points instead of a refund — which felt insulting considering I paid $143 for just one night. I called the front desk again, and the employee claimed she had only said I might be able to get a refund, not that I definitely would. In the end, I only received my deposit back — something I would’ve gotten regardless. This entire experience was stressful, frustrating, and exhausting. A hotel should be clean and comfortable — this one was neither. It made rest nearly impossible. If you’re considering staying here, I strongly advise finding a different option if at all possible.

    Not good enough

The lobby looked nice, and the modest breakfast was fine. The room was in poor condition. I wouldn't stay there again. See photos.

    Slightly better than being homeless.

To say it was a disappointment would be a gross understatement. The Quality Inn on Jamaica Court next to Icon Park was without a doubt the absolute worst Quality Inn we have ever stayed at. No towels, waste basket,a three legged chair and a bathroom to be ashamed of. Choice Hotels should be ashamed of themselves for putting their name on this dump.

Very poorly planned suite...no light near the desk. Closest outlet to the desk was close to the door. Bathroom - missing tiles. We stayed for only one night - had it been longer, we would have left. This is the second hotel under Choice Hotels we’ve stayed at and both hotels left much to be desired.
