Location

This family-friendly hotel warmly welcomes guests in Lake Buena Vista. For parents with children, it provides everything needed for a pleasant stay.

Facility

At this resort, which includes a lift, guests are warmly welcomed at the lobby's 24-hour reception desk. The resort provides a safe, a currency exchange service, a cash machine, a laundry service, a conference room and a coin-operated laundry. Wireless internet access is provided in public areas (no extra charge). The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The resort has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities.     Numerous Problems at Disney Pop Century Resort

    A little over a week ago I went to stay at Pop Century Resort because I was running in the RunDisney races. When I initially booked they gave me a Premium room overlooking the pool and said it was considered Premium because it was close to the lobby and the Skyliner. About a month before arriving I decided to change my request to say that I would stay anywhere other than near the pool because I felt I needed sleep and it would be too noisy. Disney put me in for this request. Upon arriving at the front desk I was told they couldn’t accommodate my request because there were no other rooms available. Note, there are 2,880 rooms at Pop Century. My room was on the third floor overlooking the pool. There was loud music coming from the pool until 9:30PM and I heard kids screaming until the pool closed at 11:00PM. With little to no sleep I got up at 1:30AM to take a bus at 2:30 AM to get to the first race. After the race I arrived back at the resort at 7:30AM and went to the front desk. When I told the counter person of my night, she said I don’t know why they told you there were no rooms. She got on a phone and then showed me three different rooms to choose from. I chose one and she said that I would have to leave my current room at 11:00 and the new room may not be ready until 4:00. I did get an email around 10:45 that the room was ready. I went to the counter to get the new key. Unfortunately, I dealt with the same person that I saw the day before that told me there were no rooms available. She gave me a card key for my new room. When I raced to my old room to get my luggage before 11:00, I found that both key cards worked for my old room. Then I went to the new room and the new key didn’t work because it was programed for the old room. On the final day I checked out to find that my bill was increased by est. $500. I couldn’t understand why because I downgraded from a Premium room to a regular room and was told they would actually reduce my original price. When the manager was called to look at the bill, for a half hour they were trying to figure out why it was increased by $500. It then dawned on me that I had booked with a 25-30% discount which was not applied when they changed my room. They agreed and removed the $500 and credited me $65 for the downgraded room. I am a regular at all of the RunDisney races and have stayed at Art of Animation three times in the past 2 years without any problems. I also buy tickets to the parks and stay a few extra days. This was my first time at Pop Century and after this experience I am seriously considering staying outside of Disney World. After arriving home, I was asked by Disney to do an online survey. I explained all of the problems that I experienced and never received a response from Disney.

    A quick review on Pop Century at Walt Disney World Florida. What can I say but, goodJob to everyone that works there. It was super clean and really quiet. The pools were clean and just the right temp, rooms are just the right size and extremely clean. The grounds are well maintained and the entire stay was amazing. I would recommend Pop Century over and over again

    Budget Class - wonderful theming - very easy to get around from the 60’s building - the food court was more than adequate - lovely staff - easy to commute and change hotels as we did - just to sample more hotels - nothing wrong with pop century -

    Entire resort well kept. Clean. Rooms are small and tight. Transportation is as always packed busses, the usual standing room only. The calling in your food order and having everything ready was amazing made things so much easier.

    This hotel is super clean and the location is extremely convenient. The HUGE issue that we have is that my friends AirPod Pros, that she just purchased for $250, were stolen from our hotel room just hours after check in by the person who delivered our bags to the room.We reported it to security and they came out to hear what happened. They said the “can’t really do anything” even though we were tracking the location of the AirPods. My friend said she just wanted to be reimbursed for them. They told us we could file a police report and that they would “work with police” during their investigation.It is a huge disappointment, especially from Disney which is known for their customer service. We are really disappointed and feeling a major breakdown in our trust with Disney. It is very unsettling that 1. Someone can come in our room without us knowing 2. Someone can take things from our room without our knowledge. 3. Disney doesn’t do anything about it but say sorry and tell us we have the option to file a police reportWe won’t be staying here again and have honestly lost trust in Disney hotels.
