    Sy was amazing. Excellent bartender. Very friendly, accommodating and went above and beyond! Breakfast buffet was great as well. Server was attentive, although didn’t catch her name, she was very sweet though. Overall great experience!

    As an IHG Diamond Elite member, I was disappointed by my experience at the Holiday Inn Orlando I-Drive, particularly because management set expectations that were ultimately not met.I booked this stay through HotelTonight because the rate was more competitive than booking directly through IHG. Immediately after making my reservation, I called the hotel and spoke directly with a manager. I explained that I would be traveling with my son, who is on the autism spectrum, and requested a designated quiet room away from the elevator on a higher floor. The manager assured me that he would personally handle everything, link the reservation to my IHG Diamond Elite account, and ensure that my room preferences were noted and honored before arrival.Unfortunately, none of those arrangements appeared to have been made when we checked in. We received a standard check-in experience with no recognition of Diamond Elite status, and none of the usual benefits or acknowledgments were offered. I didn’t complain because I simply hate making a fuss. I thanked the front desk person and accepted the standard experience, prepared to make the most of things. However, when we entered our assigned room, it was located immediately next to the elevator, the exact situation I had specifically called ahead to avoid.At first, I planned to let it go. As a parent of a neurodiverse child, I am unfortunately accustomed to making accommodation requests that are often overlooked. However, I quickly discovered a much larger problem: the room was not clean. There was hair in the bathroom, hair in the shower, hair in the sink, and even a long strand of hair inside a folded face towel.At that point, I returned to the front desk and requested a different room. The front desk agent was polite and promptly moved us to another room, which, while not spotless, was noticeably cleaner.Shortly after we settled into the new room, the manager I had spoken with before arrival knocked on our door. He apologized for the cleanliness issues and offered 25,000 IHG points as a goodwill gesture. He also stated that the front desk had somehow missed the fact that I was a Diamond Elite member and apologized for that oversight as well.I appreciated the apology and the gesture, but I explained that the cleanliness issue was actually secondary to my original concern: the hotel had failed to honor the accommodation request that I had specifically called about in advance. We were still located directly next to the elevator despite assurances that a quiet room would be arranged. And while this might seem minor, it can cause major disruptions for those with sensory sensitivities. The manager apologized again and offered to look into a room upgrade. He was ultimately able to move my son and me into a larger upgraded room, which was a meaningful improvement and made the remainder of our stay considerably more comfortable.The larger issue is that several of the corrective actions promised by management never materialized. The 25,000 points were never added to my account, and the stay was never properly linked to my IHG membership despite repeated assurances that both issues would be handled. Considering our stay occurred on March 10, there has been more than enough time for those commitments to be fulfilled.What ultimately left a negative impression was the pattern of promises that sounded reassuring in the moment but were not consistently followed through afterward. The staff were polite, and the manager did make an effort to improve the situation once problems were brought to his attention. However, many of the issues we encountered could have been avoided entirely if the arrangements discussed before arrival had simply been honored.I appreciate the staff members who tried to make things right during our stay, but based on this experience, I would not choose this Holiday Inn location again. As a Diamond Elite member, I expected a higher level of attention to detail, follow-through, and consistency than what was ultimately delivered.     I’m checked in on April 17,2026 (I had previously checked out of another hotel that day) and Kervin was SUCH A PLEASURE! Very nice, patient and kind. I had a little mishaps with AMX but got it straight and was able to check in. Kervin made sure to take good care of me all the way until check out. By the way, the Cal King bed is Soooooo comfy! I will for sure be back.     The location was excellent with access to shopping and dining. The staff (Karma, Della, Vanessa and Valentina) went above to make sure our stay was enjoyable even though we were there for a funeral.
