  Just stay at a hotel at Disney or Universal

  Our family of 4 spent 2.5 weeks here whilst spending time at the Disney & Universal parks. Whilst it is a good distance away from these attractions, it is important to note that the shuttle bus times are not frequent or convenient times. The shuttle is also unfortunately not very accessible, allowing only able-bodied passengers and single strollers. To add to this, the only direct journeys to a Disney park is to Epcot and Hollywood studios, therefore our budget had to drastically increase to allow for expensive Ubers each day, meaning we had a significant amount of our spending cut. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and have answered all of our queries. The hotel provides decent facilities, however, the housekeeping isn’t great. They do not attend the room regularly and the cleaning isn’t of a high standard, meaning we had to purchase our own cleaning products to remove black mold from the bathroom and had to request fresh towels most days as they were taken from our room but never replaced. The breakfast was enjoyable, with some good variety but you do have to eat from plastic and paper cutlery/crockery and take-out cups. For us, this was disappointing in the way of the hotel being environmentally conscious and perhaps cheapens the experience somewhat, depending on your personal standards and preferences. The lifts aren’t great, breaking down a few times during our stay also! I don’t think we would return for another long stay, but a few days would be reasonable for the price.   We stayed at Holiday Inn Express & Suites Orlando – Lake Buena Vista in August 2025 with our child, and the experience was wonderful. The location is perfect—close to Walt Disney World and Lake Buena Vista, making family travel easy. The atmosphere was vibrant yet comfortable, with clean rooms and helpful staff.What impressed us most was how family‑friendly everything felt. From easy transport options like ferries and monorails to nearby cafés and even Indian restaurants, Orlando surprised us with its diversity. The hotel itself offered great amenities, and service was warm and welcoming.After long days at Disney parks, returning to a quiet, clean room was a blessing.   Hotel was fine. The parking situation was literal ROBBERY. DO NOT STAY HERE.We stayed here for one night back in December after getting off a cruise. Chose this hotel because it was close to Disney Springs and had bunk beds for the kids. Check-in was fine. The room was exactly what we expected. But the parking situation? An absolute scam.At check-in, I was forced into a whole convoluted presentation about parking — scan a QR code, enter vehicle info, enter a credit card separately from the hotel charges, etc. Annoying, but I did everything immediately, exactly as instructed. We stayed our 24 hours, flew home, and thought nothing more of it.Fast forward to February — nearly 2.5 months later — and we get a random “violation” bill in the mail for $105.00 from the parking company, claiming we never paid. Of course, months later, I no longer have screenshots or text confirmations. That’s apparently part of the trap.I tried calling the hotel. Spoiler alert: they never answer the phone. After calling FIVE TIMES and letting it ring forever, someone finally picked up. I explained the situation and was told, “Oh yeah, we don’t use that system anymore. Call this number or go to this website — they’ll have all your info.”Cool. Except the phone number they gave me is disconnected. The website? Not even the correct site.So I go back to the violation notice, find another number, call it — and get a voicemail for a VP at Towne Park telling me to call yet another number for disputes. I call that number, sit on hold for five minutes, and then the automated system says, “All parties are busy,” and hangs up on me.So how, exactly, is anyone supposed to dispute this? Nobody knows anything. Nobody answers phones. The one hotel employee I managed to reach gave me completely wrong information. Total runaround.If you’re going to charge $40 a night (or whatever it was) to park, at least make it straightforward — or better yet, add it to the hotel bill like a normal, competent business. This third-party parking setup is a complete joke. They either don’t charge you at the time and then hit you later with a “delinquent” fee, or they charge you whatever they feel like — with no accountability and no actual way to dispute it.This is predatory, lazy, and embarrassing. I would NEVER stay at this hotel again solely because of this parking disaster and the fact that the hotel knowingly allows it to happen.What a joke.   Hidden Fees, Poor Service, and No Communication

  Would not stay here again — lots of hidden inconveniencesParking is absolutely NOT free. It’s $40 per night after all of the extra taxes and fees they tack on, and there is zero free parking anywhere on the property. If you have a car, you’re getting charged no matter what. We also weren’t told about this at check-in, which was frustrating.Housekeeping is not daily unless you specifically request it. We stayed 6 nights and housekeeping only came 3 times, and only twice brought new towels. For a family of four, we had to ask for towels four different times, which got old really fast.No one answers the phones — not the in-room phone, and not when you call from your own cell. So if you need anything, there’s basically no way to reach staff without going down to the lobby yourself.Breakfast runs from 6:30–9:30, but they do not restock the food. If you come down around 8, the options are super limited because everything is picked over and not refilled.Overall, for the price of this hotel, the lack of communication, inconsistent housekeeping, and extra charges were a huge disappointment. I wouldn’t recommend staying here.   Disappointment in service. Do not recommend

  There were a lot of issues . This was my first stay at a Holiday Inn . I usually use Hampton Inn . 1st they charge $25 for parking. That is not listed on their website or Expedia and you have to use a QR code that didn’t explain what we were doing very confusing . Then the lights by the bed don’t work . So it was 100% bright or dark . No other option . Then the iron didn’t work and Mary Ann at counter said she couldn’t help we had to wait till housekeeping came in at 9. My boyfriend had to go to another person and they asked maintenance to bring us another one . Then breakfast didn’t have any fresh fruit . The turkey sausage ran out and they weren’t cooking anymore so all I was able to eat were eggs . Everything else was bagels, pancakes and biscuits. The entire stay was very disappointing. Will not return !
