  A scam. Go anywhere else for your peace

  Do not come here unless you have dont have anywhere else to go. The hotel isn’t new at all and is quite old and some rooms arent even furnished. Its basically a scam and has the nerve to be non-refundable. The front desk is quick to get an attitude as well. The room has a smell that gave me a headache. The pillows didn’t smell good and are very flat. The covers were smelly too. The king sises bed was just 2 mattresses pushed together as well. The pool was green and not tended to either.

  We made our reservation and paid for it in advance when we got there we were told they the hotel had canceled our reservation now mind you this is during a hurricane hurricane Milton we have yet this is December 16th 2024 to get our money back they owe us $198.91 and they're saying that we we're there and stayed in our room when they're the ones that canceled us not to mention I saw pictures from other people staying there and the rooms were disgusting full of mold mildew dirty sheets dirty floors walls it was just gross I'm I'm glad I didn't stay there but. If you had a dog or a cat or some kind of animal you got a room they were charging people $300 cash for the animals if you didn't have an animal you didn't get a room we're in our seventies my husband is disabled and we were told we didn't have a room just hours before a hurricane to hit Florida hurricane Milton

  I want to first say that I had nothing but good experiences with the staff. But .. When we first entered the room, the floor was absolutely filthy. Dead bugs, dirt and debris everywhere. Tables and dresser were dusty. When I closed the door, the control panel for the electric key card was exposed as well as 6AA batteries. There was lizard poop on the walls. A dead German roach was stuck the the tape that was covering the hole on the bathroom door where the door handle should have been. The tub and shower wall were absolutely disgusting. The microwave was crap, took triple the cooking time to get anything heated through. The mini fridge worked as it should have. Wifi was spotty, all 3 or 4 hotspots that they had. The real kicker came once the lights were out. Baby German and adult German cockroaches. There was a room for the resident dog(s). Most of the rooms they have are not usable. I witnessed the housekeeper go in a room and only remove the sheets, nothing else. Not the blankets, not the towels. I witnessed the housekeeper drying blankets on a boat they have in the back parking lot. The pillows were ick and parts of one were rock hard. (Glad we brought our own.) Pool was closed. At one point during our stay, we had to battle flies because the trash wasn't emptied in a timely manner and maggots would be crawling all over the outside trashcan nearest our room. I needed something near and cheap, and I felt pressured into booking when I called the number from Google after stating I wanted to call a couple of more places for their rates. This place really needs to be shut down and fumigated. Again, the front desk staff were all kind and I had no issues with them. The hotel itself is in shambles and it's not a good look for other, well maintained, Oyo hotels.

  I want to share a bad experience with OYO Hotel Dundee By Crystal Lake. I booked a room from August 17, 2024, to August 18, 2024, but when I got there, the office was closed, and I couldn't check in. The website didn't indicate the office hours, so I booked my room without knowing the front office was closed. This is confusing, and I'm not sure why they allowed me to place a booking if the office was closed.When I tried to talk to customer service, they only gave me a $6 refund of the $81 I paid and then charged me a cancellation fee of $75.92. Their customer service team seemed to be overseas, and it was hard to understand them because of their accent and background noise. Every time I called, they blamed technical issues for why I hadn't received the rest of my refund and transferred my case to another department, which made me feel ignored and worried.I'm disappointed and feel like the company isn't being fair. I will try to resolve this, and I want to warn others about this hotel. I hope they'll fix this, and if they do, I'll reconsider my opinion.

  Felt I was going to be stabbed in the middle of the night and left. Beyond filthy, no TV, lock kicked out, was told it was the last room available that night when parking lot was empty, clerk took photocopy of my credit car for security deposit. left very early and no one to check out. paid in advance with Experian and no refund for second day, Rats floating upside down in empty pool. Building and management/ownership need complete Renovation and property clean up. Please delete this hotel from your listings. Do not at any expense STAY there.
