  Very odd visit, find another hotel

  The check-in went very easy. The gentleman checking is in was very nice very friendly. Our room was OK, dated but comfortable. Went to take a shower at night as we had a morning flight. No hot water!! Oh well, guess we weren’t the only ones Next morning we tried the shower, again not even warm water. Yes, I have used a shower before, passed water turning on 101. Went down to breakfast, told the lady at the reception desk of the Lack of hot water, she said”that’s odd”. Hard to argue with that answer. Breakfast area was tidy, but the milk was sitting on the counter without refrigeration, I thought that was odd too, so I passed on the cereal. Went to make a cuppa tea and the hot water carafe was not hot, seems to be a pattern here. I asked the lady at the reception desk about the water, she referred me to the breakfast monitor. A woman was sitting with her hoodie drawn over her face using her cell phone. She pointed to the coffee bar without looking up. I wasn’t the only one who noticed her lackadaisical personality. She showed absolutely no interest in what was going on in that little room. I never did see her face. So if I go back to this hotel you can say “that’s odd”.   Good stay. Works for 1 night.

  We chose this hotel for an overnight stay before an international flight and found it to be a good choice. Upon arrival, we were ahead of the official check-in time and, despite being the first guests to arrive that day, we observed other guests being processed before us. This caused a minor delay. The hotel offers complimentary coffee and tea in the lobby, which was a welcome amenity. For dinner, we walked to the nearby Waffle House. While the location was convenient, the walk at night felt a little unsettling. The room itself was clean and spacious, and we slept well, which was essential before our journey.   Plumber’s Paradise

  Do not let the fresh scent of the hotel lobby fool you because the hotel rooms themselves smell like the play place in McDonalds on a rainy Saturday afternoon. Our family booked 8 rooms here on a Friday night and won’t ever make that mistake again.Once we got inside the room, we discovered that the toilet was clogged. Maintenance came up and he spent 20-30 minutes plunging his heart out, and seemingly corrected the issue, only leaving just a little toilet water behind, on the floor.After dinner we came back to the toilet clogged again. I walked to the front desk and they told me they were sorry about it, but they couldn’t move us since they were full, but also the maintenance person had gone home so we would just have to figure something out. I asked if anyone on staff could plunge it since we paid $125+ for the room which is advertised with proper indoor plumbing. The supervisor told the girl behind the counter to come up and see what she could do and she replied, “I’m not doing that, it’s not my job.” The supervisor said we could deal with it or they could check us out. I didn’t ask if we’d be refunded, but also couldn’t easily move my entire family, of 16, at 9:30 P.M. so I kindly asked for the plunger. The young lady behind the counter brought it out , wrapped in a garbage bag, and looked disgusted as she handed it over. (Which, fair.)When we woke the next morning, and threw the comforter back, there was a hole that looked like some mice had previously feasted on the bedding. Thankfully they were not in the bed with us overnight.I went to the lobby to use the restroom and there were wet/dirty towels on the floor that reeked of used toilet water also, but hey, it flushed.They must pay for Google advertising to be one of the top hotels listed when you search “Orlando hotels”.I guess the location is nice for Orlando, but I will say we came down a day early and they were fully booked so we stayed at the Holiday Inn Express down the street for less money and it was so much cleaner and had working plumbing.So buyer’s choice, but we’ll be choosing different on our future visits.   Convenient for a flying visit

  The hotel is basic but reasonably priced. I can’t fault the hotel staff as we had a warm welcome and the receptionist was very polite and helpful. We wanted to use the safe in the room but it was broken. On investigation, it appears they don’t work generally in the hotel.As only staying for the 1 night, most of the hotel facilities were not used, so I cannot make comment or rate.The room was clean but basic. Perhaps in need of a little investment.

  About a 15 dollar Uber from the airport. They do not offer a shuttle. Room was nice but the door needed some lock work.Room was nice fairly quiet and included a coffee maker and refrigerator. They do not offer grab and go breakfast so missed out as had an early flight.
