    Great location and great hotel

    Great location next to Mall at Millenia (walking distance, start by pool area and walk across the bridge to get to parking lot of the mall). Residence Inn at Marriott shares same building as this hotel. Practically it’s one hotel. Clean rooms, plenty of space. Pool is large, grilling station present so if you’re in suite, you can do some BBQ by the pool. Didn’t like that we had to pay for parking. (Everywhere else in Florida we did not pay).

    Lovely big rooms, there was only two of us but I think a family would also have plenty space. The lounge is partitioned from the bedrooms which I liked and you can rotate the tele for sofa or bed. Microwave and fridge in the room.The breakfast was ok, definitely not the best I have had in a Marriott hotel. Pretty close to universal and a 30 minute drive to Disney

    It was a terrible experience staying at this hotel, and I honestly cannot believe how poorly everything was handled.On the first day, when we arrived to check in, we were told that our room was not ready and that we had to wait almost two hours. While waiting, I saw a staff member giving water bottles in Marriott bags to other guests. When I politely asked if I could have one, the staff member said those were only for Marriott members and did not even ask whether I was one. In fact, we are Marriott members and had booked and paid for a three-night stay. This interaction was embarrassing and made me feel uncomfortable for simply asking.On the second morning, we were given what looked like a “gift ticket” for a discounted hotel stay. However, this turned out to be a timeshare sales trap. They try to lure guests with a $300 offer but then force them into a long sales tour and pressure them to buy packages. Fortunately, I was aware of this type of scam and did not attend, but it is extremely inappropriate for a hotel to promote this to its guests.During our last night, the bathroom sliding door suddenly came off its track. This was a safety issue, yet no one even apologized. The next morning, when I reported it to the manager, she simply asked if anyone was hurt and said they would fix it, without offering any apology or concern.We were in a great mood for this trip, but this hotel completely ruined our vacation. The poor service, lack of professionalism, noise issues, and safety problems made this one of the worst hotel experiences we have ever had. Similar to the time-share statement, our hotel does not have any shower doors that are on tracks that could come off and become a hazard for our guests.Based on these two observations of your feedback, I am curious if you might be confusing our hotel with another hotel.     I booked a stay at the SpringHill Suites by Marriott Orlando at Millenia but had to cancel due to a heart surgery. The hotel simply refused to reschedule my stay or refund the amount paid. This shows a complete lack of consideration and courtesy. All other hotels on my trip, as well as tickets purchased for parks and even Broadway shows in New York, my second destination, were successfully rescheduled without any issues. This is unacceptable.     This place smells terrible and should be avoided.

    The smell in this hotel is so strong that it will make anyone who is the slightest bit sensitive sick. Like allergies, migraine, asthma, burning eyes, etc. I have never been to a hotel that smells this strong with air freshener. It is also a little wet smelling and moldy. Maybe that is what they are covering up. We have used this scent since the hotel opened in 2018 and have received many, many positive comments from guests about it. We have actually had guests looking to purchase the same scent for their home. However, we understand that there are sometimes people who are extremely sensitive to any scent, which would also include laundry scent, cleaning chemicals, etc. We try to do our best to accommodate guests to the best of our ability. I am sorry that you feel that this was not done during your visit.When and if you choose to stay with us again in the future and you still feel that the scent is too strong in the public areas, please let us know.
