Location

The resort is located in Orange County. Lake Austin Reserve is a south-west Orlando development, which features this resort based over 160 hectares along with the adjoining Westside development. Orlando, Florida is a world-renowned visitor destination famous for its amusement parks, fabulous golf courses and family appeal. This resort is in the heart of it all, minutes from the numerous attractions, a 'drive' away from many coveted golf courses.

Facility

The bungalow complex has a lift and features 890 apartments. The reception desk is open round the clock. Amenities available at the complex include a baggage storage service, a safe and a cash machine. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The complex has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. Wheelchair-accessible facilities are available. Film fans will find plenty of 'lights, camera, action' at the cinema. A number of shops, including a souvenir shop, are great for shopping or just browsing. The grounds of the complex feature a playground and a lovely garden. Additional facilities include a playroom. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage or in the car park. Rooms

    Good Vacation, But the Rooms Need Attention

    We recently stayed at The Grove Resort for four nights and had a good family vacation overall. The water park was the highlight of the trip. It was clean, well-maintained, and all of the attractions were open during our stay. The staff was friendly, check-in was easy, parking was convenient, and having a full kitchen and refrigerator was very useful for a family trip.Unfortunately, the room itself had far too many maintenance issues. When we arrived, both the sink and shower were clogged and draining very slowly. One bedroom window shade was broken and had to be repaired. Later in the stay, another shade stopped working, the TVs frequently glitched, a towel rack fell off the wall, the living room ceiling fan did not work, and the dryer barely heated and took more than four hours to dry towels and clothing.One of the more frustrating experiences happened late at night when we discovered there were no extra blankets or pillows in the room. We called around midnight requesting them, but they were not delivered for more than two hours. We eventually fell asleep before they arrived.To the resort's credit, maintenance did respond when we reported the initial problems, and the staff was always pleasant. However, there were so many separate maintenance issues during a single four-night stay that we eventually stopped reporting everything because we didn't want to spend our vacation repeatedly waiting on repairs.The biggest takeaway is that the water park and resort amenities appear to be in much better condition than the guest rooms. The property feels older than the photos suggest, and many rooms seem overdue for a thorough inspection and updating.We still enjoyed our vacation and have no complaints about the staff, but because of the number of room issues we encountered, we would likely choose a different resort on our next Orlando visit.

    Brilliant resort - highly recommend

    We are currently at the grove, coming to the end of a two week stay here and we have had a brilliant time in Florida and at the resort.Check in was super easy, took about 10 minutes. We have a 3 bed apartment which was really clean, huge, all amenities that you need. The cleaners have been twice to do a full clean, but come most days to empty our bins and put new towels in. The pool area is brilliant, huge pools and yes it does get busy but we have never not got sunbeds. The cost of food and drinks around the pool area are expensive but you expect that in a holiday resort. All the staff are really friendly and helpful around the pool, which has full drinks service. The small supermarket is very expensive and has no prices on anything so can be abit of a shock when paying but we used target and Walmart mostly which are close by. The shuttles buses are a good bonus which we used most days but some days we got Ubers which were approx 15 dollars to Disney parks. Overall this is a really good resort and we can’t understand all the bad reviews, we would definitely recommend it.     Great for me and the kiddos for a day vacation!

    Nice resort with a good amount of amenities for the kiddos, had an arcade and a lot of pools and also the slides were amazing. The room was nice with 4 beds and a couch pullout , kitchen, in room laundry room, and netted balcony. At the pier they had nice boating area with multiple swan boats and other rentals, the person in charge, Alex Cotto, is very relaxed and upbeat person with him giving good insight on the swan boat when me and my family went on. Great Hotel for the kids, and for a family of 6 I do recommend coming here for a day or two and enjoy the peaceful Florida experience in a nice resort.     We were at the pool all day and our server Michelle was awesome. Food came out quick and she came back every 10-20 minutes to check on us.     Great affordable place to stay and have fun!

    Our overall experience was very good. The hotel could use some maintenance/updating but was clean. The water park was a lot of fun for the family. We were able to get chairs each day(get there early for umbrellas) the service was amazing, super friendly staff, both at Valencia and pool side. The rooms are spacious, and clean. The king size bed was hard but the other beds were more comfortable. We did need to ask for additional towels but they were delivered to us. It took us 20-30 mins to get to the parks but that was more due to traffic not location. It was very relaxing place, even being super busy it was still very chill. The price would have been the same as a regular hotel for a family of our size (6) so we found it very affordable. Parking is extra!
