  This made the top of my list for the worst experience yet at a hotel. We booked an 8 day stay here and checked out within the first 20 minutes. My wife was so unhappy and disgusted with the room, she actually cried which was unusual to me because she never cries. We booked the same dates at a different hotel and left right away. Westgate did not grant me a refund for my 20 minutes of staying there which I thought was unprofessional given there were rooms available and it isn’t like we took business / a possible room to sell. Anyways, here is why we left…..1. The room was FILTHY. The carpet was musty and smelled of animals / urine. The sheets had brown stains and my wife said they smelled of an odorous man.2. There is a jacuzzi in the middle of the room with a floor to ceiling window right next to it. So, essentially you’re bathing in public. There is a 2 x 3 shower thag is enclosed, however, is designed for dwarfs.3. The staff were unaccommodating and unprofessional. We expressed our unhappiness with the room and the manager told me “we can’t get you another room until Monday”. Well, we checked in Saturday so that was unacceptable. So, then I said well can we get new sheets? She then sent someone 15 minutes later who couldn’t speak English with a grocery bag of “fresh” sheets. We just drove 13 hours and were now given a grocery bag of new sheets for us to replace the dirty sheets. I have truly never seen anything like this.Avoid this motel and that isn’t a typo.

  I really avoid writing bad reviews, but for this place, I have to let people know that although the price is less than hotels and resorts in the area, the extra money spent to NOT stay in this place would be worth it. Rooms are dated and dirty, "resort fees" are ridiculous, and maintenance after a toilet backed up took over an hour.   Great stay, great value, clean and great staff! :)

  We really like our stay here as the rooms are clean, spacious and everything inside looks brand new. Microwave. washroom and fridge is all clean. If you don't like noise and a light sleeper then contact the front desk ahead to ask for a quiet room on the 6th floor. We stayed at the 6th floor and everything was quiet. We told them we are light sleepers. Staff at front desks are nice & friendly. We recommended our friends and family to stay here. Price was good and good value at $94 USD per night in total after taxes and resort fee with parking included. They give you towels and anything you need, just that there is no room services and housekeeping. There is 3 pools, 2 jacuzzi, and access to the bigger resort amenities close by.   Don’t waste your money

  The room next to ours had a dog that barked throughout the entire night, and the owner spoke so loudly that it was impossible to get any sleep. The walls are extremely thin, so there was no quiet at any point. When the dog was outside, it attempted to lunge at and bite us.

  Exceptional. Would Stay Again

  I booked this hotel on a flight+hotel vacation package with an airline. Pro’s: Probably one of the best rooms I’ve ever stayed in. I honestly could have lived there. HUGE room, two full bathrooms: one bathroom with a shower/tub, toilet & sink. The master bath felt like a luxury penthouse shower. All glass shower with glass door, a seating place and TWO shower heads, one rain, one normal. Took a second for the hot water for when it was there boy was it HOT! TWO TVs! One in the living room, one in the bedroom. Very comfy king bed! A microwave, fridge, stove & utensils were provided. My room even had a washer and a dryer! The screened balcony was the absolute best. I wish we were put on a higher floor, but we got the third floor and got the side where we could see the fireworks from Disney every night if we were there. The grounds are well kept here. I would recommend this hotel and I would stay here again. Cons: Although I did receive a spectacular room, check-in was NOT a breeze. As mentioned, I booked this hotel on a flight+hotel vacation package with an airline. Check in time is at 4:00pm. I checked in around 7:00pm. When I gave the name under the reservation, there was some type of issue with the assurance/guarantee of a room type that I specially paid for. I originally booked this same room but carpeted with a jacuzzi in the room. A balcony was a necessity on this trip-making the room without the jacuzzi and carpeted being the only ones available. When I accepted the room without the jacuzzi and the carpet, the representative then took a very long pause. I asked if everything was okay and she told me yes, that they had to cancel my reservation because now they have to put me in the back building. Weird system here but I guess I’ll take what I can get. I didn’t really need the carpet and jacuzzi anyways. It just wasn’t something I expected to run into. My advice would be to check-in as quickly as you can to guarantee your room type. I called front desk to ask what the correct procedure was to get towels. They said they could get them for me and asked for my room number. I waited half an hour. No towels. Had to drive to the main building to get the towels.
