Very rude 3rd shift
26 May 2026
The day crew is awesome, but the overnight guy is lazy as hell and very rude! Every morning I get up around 4 or 5 am. I go down to get a cup of coffee and he says no coffee until he cleans the machines. He has all night to clean the machines! But instead of doing that, he sits on his butt and does nothing but complain about the guests! I watched as he made very rude and snide comments at an older lady that was checking out just a few minutes ago! If not for this jackhole, I'd give this hotel a rating of 5. But because of him, I give them a 3. 😡 IHG Service, Owner at Holiday Inn Express Philadelphia - Penns Landing By IHG, responded to this review Hi Michael Y,We appreciate you choosing Holiday Inn Express Philadelphia - Penns Landing for your leisure stay.Thank you for your feedback and for recognizing the efforts of our day team. Totally satisfied!

Decent rate & location. Very comfortable, clean, nicely laid out rooms. View rooms are worth the slight upcharge with views of the river. Complementary breakfast was a bit better than most offerings of that ilk. Eve Posey, Guest Services / Front Office at Holiday Inn Express Philadelphia - Penns Landing By IHG, responded to this review Dear Hawknjaguar,Thank you for sharing such a detailed review of your recent stay. It is wonderful to hear that you enjoyed our convenient location and found your room to be both comfortable and well-designed.We are especially pleased that you found the upgrade for a riverfront room to be worthwhile. The views of the Delaware River and the Benjamin Franklin Bridge are certainly a highlight of the property, and we're glad they added to your experience. It is also great to know that our complimentary breakfast buffet exceeded your expectations and provided a strong start to your day.We appreciate your feedback regarding our rates and look forward to welcoming you back the next time your travels bring you to the area.Warm regards,The Management Team
