Guests are warmly welcomed by English-speaking staff at the 24-hour reception desk in the lobby. Check-in/check-out service is available round the clock. Amenities include a baggage storage service, a safe and a cash machine. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. A lift and wheelchair-accessible facilities are available. Great Location, Comfortable Stay, and Excellent Value!Location, location, location! This hotel was perfectly situated within walking distance of so many places we wanted to visit, including Powell’s Books, Whole Foods, Providence Park, the Portland Art Museum, the Oregon Historical Society, and TriMet, which made getting to Washington Park easy. There were also plenty of restaurants and shops nearby.We chose the King Suite with kitchenette, which gave us extra space and was perfect for a four-night stay. The kitchenette had a small refrigerator for leftovers, water, and breakfast items, along with cooking supplies, dishes, cutlery, a microwave, two-burner cooktop, and coffee maker.One feature we especially appreciated was the pocket doors separating the bathroom from the bedroom and the bedroom from the living area. This was very convenient for those of us who tend to wake up earlier than the rest of the group!Everything we encountered was clean and neat. We didn't use the housekeeping service during our stay, but it was available—just be sure to request it before 10 AM.We also used the laundry facilities, which were clean and worked efficiently. Coffee and tea were available in the lobby, and there was a weekend breakfast option, although we didn't have a chance to try it because of our schedule. There was also an early-evening wine tasting that we unfortunately missed, but we wish we could have stayed for it!Our air conditioning was running during our stay, so even though there may have been some typical downtown hotel noise, we didn't notice much of it.The elevator was convenient and easily accommodated us and our luggage, so arriving with several bags was no problem.A special shout-out to the shampoo, conditioner, and body wash—we really loved them and now need to find out where to buy that brand! The linens were also wonderfully soft, which was an added bonus.For our needs, especially the location and the amenities, this hotel was a great value. We had a very comfortable four-night stay and would happily stay here again when visiting Portland!

I traveled with family for vacation. We were all adults. I wanted to experiment and stay somewhere different than the typical hotel chain. The hotel was a very nice hotel. The decor reminded me of old world charm and it had nice and clean rooms. The front desk staff was very very friendly and knowldedgeable, as they provided a lot of information about where to go and how to get there, if we wanted to use public transit or walk. If you take a trip to Portland, I highly recommend this hotel.

A very lovely place with a friendly service. The rooms were clean and the hotel was at a very centric location. Everything is accessible. The atmosphere is amazing, which centers on the history of the building and what makes Portland(art, culture, architecture, etc,)

Disappointing trip

We booked online for two nights we got there around 10 pm had to park across the street and pay $36 per night. Parking was not secure , from our room we could see the parking area, not even 30 minutes later I saw a homeless guy go into the area but didn’t see him walking through. I told my husband to hit the alarm and sure enough he took off. We canceled the next night and hardly slept the first night keeping an eye out. I loved the hotel and rooms but they need to do something about the parking if anything maybe fence it up. Just my suggestion. That experience ruined my trip, I told my husband let’s just leave Oregon and go somewhere else. I was so looking forward for the site seeing. This hotel has convenient on site self parking, comfortable bedding and outstanding complimentary coffee in the lobby. Front Desk Team is friendly and quickly responds to requests . Next time I visit Portland, I will book a stay at Mark Spencer Hotel.
