  Hot Breakfast runs 6-9am. Biscuits/gravy. Eggs/sausage. Waffles, espresso and specialty coffee machine and cold breakfasts too. Very clean rooms, friendly front desk. Allowed a late checkout. Normally noon. Close to airport with a free shuttle too. Would stay again.   I had a reservation at Comfort Suites in Salt Lake City that I had to cancel due to the sudden death of a close family member. The airline immediately refunded our tickets, and two other hotels refunded our stays with compassion. Comfort Suites, however, was the complete opposite.I called multiple times and spoke with Emily at the front desk twice. She told us both times that a manager would call or email and also said we would need to provide medical records, which was insensitive to the matter and very unprofessional. I was later told by another employee that the manager, Antonio, would call us back — but that never happened.We called close to 10 times in total, spending over an hour and a half between calls and waiting. This level of disregard and lack of compassion is completely unreasonable.This is not about money — it’s about decency. On one of the hardest days of my life, Comfort Suites offered no understanding and no basic courtesy. I will never stay here again and strongly encourage others to consider how a business treats people in times of crisis before booking.   Great Budget Hotel Near SLC Airport

  PROS• We called the hotel to request the shuttle as soon as we got outside to the shuttle pickup area in the airport and they arrived within 15 minutes.• Check-in was easy and they even let us check in early.• They have free yummy homemade chocolate chip cookies during check-in (after 3pm), although it is first come first serve.• The lemon water dispenser in the lobby is a nice added touch.• Other than a hair in the tub, the room was clean and well-maintained. The room is also a great size for two travelers.• The shower had good water pressure and the water got HOT not just lukewarm, although when turned all the way it makes loud sound.• There are two restaurants within walking distance of the hotel.KEEP IN MIND• The room setup is a bit odd. The sinks are located right in the sleeping area, so there is no privacy when brushing your teeth, etc.• Their shampoo and conditioner come in tiny bottles, and the hand soap is a bar soap. My friend left their body wash at home, so they had to use the shampoo as a body wash, which was barely enough since the bottle was so tiny. The hotel should consider switching to full-sized dispenser bottles attached to the wall. They do provide makeup remover wipes which is a nice added touch.• My friend and I did not like the complimentary hot breakfast, except for the waffles and hash browns. The bacon tasted weird and the scrambled eggs were runny and in tiny bits instead of nice and fluffy. Although they likely use powered eggs, perhaps the cook should try using milk instead of water when making the eggs.All-in-all I would recommend this hotel is you need to be near the airport and are only staying 1 or 2 nights in Salt Lake City.   We reserved 2 rooms. This hotel was awful. The Tv didn’t work in one room. The air/heater didn’t work in the second room. There was water damaged all over the walls in both rooms. Dirty. The staff sucked. We were super disappointed. A nice part of down down Salt Lake as well.   The your rooms were very clean and pleasant.. The beds and pillows were great. The shuttle service was a lifesaver for me. I will be back. I will be returning in a week when I come back from my vacation and the shuttle will be there to help me get to my hotel. I will get to experience the breakfast then and I will let you know how it is. I am sure it’s going to be fabulous.
