  You can count planes instead of sheep here! Great it’s close to airport but this is SO close I not only hear the planes but feel the roar. Love this decor all modern Fridge but no microwave Coffee in roomNo free breakfast but lots of goodies to grab and go, after you buy of course! Front desk girl on Jan 1st check out either had a hangover or is always grumpy, haven’t seen that attitude in a hotel in years! You need your room key to go UP elevator but not down You need your room key to keep all lights on in your room, good for conserving energy but we kept forgetting and looked for our key! lol Games and table, billiards where 5am there were ppl playing! Of course they were young! Free 24 hr shuttle brought us here but not sure I would return if I want a good nights sleep Andrew Trevino, Guest Services / Front Office at Aloft by Marriott San Antonio Airport, responded to this review thank you for the feedback. However, it sounds like there might be a mix-up with another hotel! We are located about a mile from the airport and aren't actually under the flight path, so our guests don't usually hear or 'feel' the planes. Also, we don't have a 24-hour shuttle or the key-card light sensors you mentioned. We’d love for you to double-check your booking—if you did stay elsewhere, we’d hate for our team to take the hit for another hotel's 'grumpy' service!   The hotel is shabby on the floors above the lobby. Crappy and poorly layed carpet, shoddy paint, gouges in walls, poor elevator security ie. none (no need for key swipe in a dodgy neighborhood), low end neighborhood which made me grateful for the security which they said they have for the parking lot. Calling this an "airport" is a stretch akin to calling Death Valley beach adjacent. Having stayed at a great Aloft in Austin the previous couple of nights this felt like a semi- spruced up former 8 Days Inn. Plus stuff? Bartender helpful with starting fire in pit outside for us, good towels and responsive on extra pillows. The bed was comfortable and t.v. functioned well. When we settled in for the night the overall vibe was out of sight.   Oh my gosh, I absolutely love this hotel! Whenever I visit Sa, I make sure to stay here. Rebecca at the front desk is just incredible. She’s so friendly, accommodating, and easy to chat with. She’s definitely one of the reasons why I keep coming back. The rooms are always clean and smell amazing. The cleaning staff are also nice and easy to talk to. Overall, it’s a great experience!   Everyone reviews are terrible lol but I have come to San Antonio often and stay almost at every hotel around the airport , they are old or their ac doesn’t work . This is a good hotel and no expensive . You have target walking distance, pho restaurant , Panda Express and also breakfast restaurant and other restaurants.   Safe and Pleasant Stay at the Aloft!

  We are a touring band on the road coming from Tucson, AZ, and stayed at the Aloft Hotel near the San Antonio Airport. The parking lot felt secure for our van and gear and the front desk staff were very friendly!The lobby was very open with games, as well as a pretty large common area. The rooms were very spacious and the bathrooms were clean. We will definitely be staying here again next time we’re passing through San Antonio.
